I've been waiting for this game since I was a kid. Please Gearbox, do the movie justice; although the trailer does look promising. And it's nice to see that we're all on the same page about what we want out of this game, hopefully they listen.

GameSpot AU speaks to chief creative officer Brian Martel about working with the original Aliens film team and balancing scares with action in Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Please don't let this be a linear scripted game like CoD / MW. I really tired of that. Doesn't need to be open world, but something more akin to BioShock, with non-linear hub type levels, and multiple paths.
Hope this has big non-linear levels like in AVP for the Atari Jaguar, instead of the linear crap you see in every FPS today.
Cool a game that looks and sounds promising...then maybe hollywood could take notice and make a good Alien movie for a change. In my fan circle 3 & 4 never happen, they were cryo-sleep dreams Ripley was having.
I'm kind looking forward to this game, but I would like to see some gameplay of this game before I say I'm excited about this game.
Very much looking forward to this. I actualy enjoyed AvP and have been wanting another Aliens game for a while now. So, this will likely be a day 1 purchase for me. I, like the others who have posted so far, hope this game gets done right.
@teragorz yar, I would really like it if they actually try and go for the horror feeling, AVP2 (marine campaign) had a really good feeling, sadly at the end it just went kill everything there is, lost a bit if the horror feeling. The motion sensor the marines have are 1 of the best horror feeling elements :D especially when doors open/closes, damn that scares the sh*t out of you when you're not prepared. But I'd like to see some more teambattles in the campaign, no campaign have ever had a useful teammates, it's always the same thing... alone all the time, would be fun to have a few maps where we actually have some friends around. Same thing for alien campaign in the old games, always alone doing all the job, AVP2 had like a short moment when there was some aliens helping you... they die about 2 seconds after you meet them... Just saying that it would be fun to have a little bit of co-op, even though I do enjoy the horror (being alone) gameplay the most. But as you said, hope they just don't turn it into a common fps game.
this does have potential to be an awesome game if theyre smart about it and dont just turn it into another shooting gallery.
"We're fans as well." Who's heard this before...? The director of the first AvP movie was a "fan," too. Don't get me wrong, I hope this game turns out well. It's simply that almost every time I've heard someone say "I'm a fan," it goes wrong.
