this is the kind of movie that they should make, not those crappy alien vs predator shit... And the latest which is called Prometheus good as it may be Alien and Aliens is still the best

Return to the USS Sulaco in this chilling trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Wish this would come out already, they keep pushing it back.. So if it sucks that would be even more lame..
Aliens: Colonial Marines came out already and I am sorry to burst your hope bubble, but Aliens: Colonial Marines actually sucks so much that is one of the worst games of 2013 which could come as close as being bad to Duke Nukem Forever.
Well Sega is developping it, that can't be good, the trailer seems great i hope the game actually is too
i want to be excited for this game but the more i watch all i can be reminded of is.... Prometheus is in theaters tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! i cant wait~!!!!!
Holy Hell i hop e this is good. Gearbox is making the only two games im worried about right now besides GTA 5
I haven't read into this game, but it would be amazing if you played different marines who end up dieing throughout the story line. I think one of the reasons Modern Warfare 1 was so successful was because this used this format in the story. I haven't seen any other games do this. It would be amazing to play knowing that your character may end up dead; it adds an interesting dimension to it.
Seventeen *days?* Hey man, I don't wanna rain on your parade, but we're not gonna last seventeen *hours!*
im sure it will be a decent game, but the alien franchise died for me when ripley had sex with an alien.
I hope they make good use of any increase in raw power with the mass production version of WiiU. As a fan of both the series and Nintendo, I want excellent pack mentality to be seen in the AI, glimpses of gameplay I've seen so far haven't filled me with confidence sadly. I also want the very best textures possible on WiiU, and for Gearbox to improve their custom deferred lighting renderer on this version, because I'm not impressed by everything I've seen so far from it, some things look cheap. The fire effects need to be much improved, they look dated, all elemental effects should be top draw in this game, just like they were in the film. I don't want the flame-thrower looking like crap. I'd also like to see the Xeno's move better, some of the animation frames look awkward and not as smooth as they should. The procedural morphing could be a lot better.
Its about time they brought out a solely Aliens game thats not an Alien vs Predator. I think the last one I played had graphics like Doom 1. I wonder what the multiplayer side of it will be like.
WOW, an ALIENS shooter? Looks amazing and fun, and looks just like the movie!
This is exactly the kind of game I would love to play if it was released 15 years ago!
I wasn't looking forward to this game but after watching the interview elsewhere on this site i have to say he showed the same enthusiasm for the IP that i do so hopefully there is alot of story there that meshes well, if so other aspects of the game shall be able to be glossed over. Fingers crossed non shall have to be!
The game looks pretty generic and boring.. If they somehow turned it into a mass effect high bred where you can lvl up your marines and upgrade your weapons and make the ai pretty tough Id be interested but as of right now this just looks like a shovelware game I'll play for five minutes and forget later...
I agree--the plot isn't jiving with the movies. Maybe things will be elaborated on in the game, but it'd be nice to be thrown a bone.
looks absolutely incredible, wonder what the multiplayer will be like, the mp for avp2 was pretty cool, wonder if it will have the modes like that
Gameplay > Graphics
Aliens > Us Marines.
Please don't make the Marines too powerful, all the videos I've seen just show Marines standing still shooting Aliens, it seems a bit static apart from the over used scripted scenes.
All looks a bit linear so far.
Please do a DEMO for all platforms, I hate not having a demo to see on the pc how well a game really runs, how the menus are and controls, something so simple can help you sell many more games but also makes you keep to high standards.
So your a pc player why wait for a demo you know your just gonna wait to buy the game for like 15 bux off steam anyways like most of you pc gamers brethen. Us console gamers are the ones usually getting ripped off by paying sixty bux anyways...
@BlackBaldwin I agree that the price for console games is just crazy, especially for the PS3 which tends to get bad ports.
PC gamers are happy to pay for a good game full price but most games seem mainly developed on the XBOX360 and then ported to other platforms and they feel like a console game and don't respond to the PC interface very well.
But yeah in general the prices are high and the quality of the product is low, choose wisely !
If you are fan of the saga, you will be probably wondering why there were so many people in the ship when only Hicks, Ripley, the girl and Bishop made it. I dont understand it. Besides, there should be an alien for each person attacked by the facehugger, so it seems the sulaco was crowded even though at the end of the second movie there were only three people and a droid. That is weird....
@Senior_Rosa Gotta remember that somehow the Queen made it aboard the Sulaco at the end of Aliens.... Still to this day don't know how the heck she got on board... but that's all I got right now
@Senior_Rosa I'm hearing you, could it be the rest of the "support" crew were never shown in the 2nd movie? Focusing only on the marine/military contingent of the sulaco? How then did they reproduce in such numbers when the queen was sucked from the airlock and only Ripley was carrying the egg in her chest?
@DAMSOG There was no support crew. Otherwise why would bishop need to remote pilot the second dropship from the sulaco instead of just calling the crew left onboard ? Quite right though - the Sulaco by this point may contain lots of eggs, and possibly facehuggers, but without hosts....no fully grown aliens.
@blighter All I can say is the bloody pulse rifle better sound like a pulse rifle....surely they would have had to follow the "official" story line and simply not make it up as they went along...ANSWERS ANSWERS
@therealstreki Also - there was a scene when the 'mobile' part of the queen tore away from her egg laying part to chase Ripley out of the nest, so she wouldn't even have had the anatomy to lay eggs.
@DAMSOG The alien queen was on board the sulaco for a very short period before revealing herself to Ripley and having the power loader battle. She can't have laid too many eggs in that brief perod. Plus, Ripley and the survivors presumably began their journey home in the Sulaco before an on-board fire caused their pods to be jetissoned somewhere in the vicinity of Fury 161, and yet this trailer states that the Sulaco is now back in orbit around LV-426! So how did the ship get back to the planet with no-one on board ? Questions, questions.
@therealstreki The plot thickens, Ripleys pod was jettisoned because of an alien life form was detected on board the Sulaco but without hosts the numbers of aliens would be zero, all bodies including Hicks was recovered on Fiorina 141 so where did they come from....answers dammit...we want answers!!
