An amazing game with a great multiplayer experience with plenty of modes to keep you entertained for hours on end!

The Bottom Line:
"Immersive"
The gameplay in Aliens vs. Predator is sturdy, balanced, and creative. With all species (Humans, Alien, and Predator) having their own unique style of fighting and advantages. In multiplayer you'll be able to climb on any surface possible as Alien as well as see in the dark as if it were day. Change visions and go stealth as Predator with numerous equipment options. Or have the long range advantage as human who also has numerous guns to use at their disposal. While the multiplayer is great with several modes such as Domination, Mixed Species DM, Species DM, Deathmatch, Infestation, Survivor, and more. I found that the map designs could have been much better instead of always being more of a tunnel expedition than a multi-species battlefield. However, like every game it does have a few amazing maps that are fun to duke it out on.

The campaigns on AvP are fun, but unfortunately short. The Human campaign being the longest and hardest, is the most boring at parts but offers a great challenge at some as well. The Alien campaign being the shortest, is most likely the most fun for most people. The Predator campaign is mainly revolved around espinonage and stealth than anything else. Also, I found it kind of cool how all of the campaigns intertwine with eachother. All the campaigns are somewhat enjoyable and offer a good 10 hours of play.

The graphics in AvP are quite astonishing and offers great detail in the character models. For example, if you look at Alien, every detail you would see in the movies is on him, I found it quite amazing for that. Facial expressions on the humans are also pretty good. The other thing though that somewhat bugged me was the voice acting for regular Marines, they all have the same death cry and voice no matter what character they are. I found that kind of annoying. Other than that, visual and sound effects are great.

AvP is really a great game that a difinetely recommend buying aside from those flaws. It really is a great game, and I strongly disagree with GameSpot's completely unfair rating. Don't take their word for it.
The bottom line is that it's a great game and is definetely worth buying.
