AVP is a great reboot to the series sure it has its ups and downs but overall its a game worth your hard earned cash. You have 3 classes to play from the badass Predators (my favourite) with all there weapons and technology that go from planet to planet hunting creatures for sport. Then you have the Aliens with there razor shap claws and there lightning fast reflexes can wipe out spices with there numbers. And then finally the Marines with all the firepower in the world what could go wrong?
the story takes place on a planet called BG-386 a research facility where the weyland yutani company finds a ancient pyrmid and they soon discover that there are a few alien eggs there. So one thing leads to another and humans start creating aliens from human specimens, Aliens soon break free and the Predators soon find out that humans are on there planet and there not too happy. Eventually the marines are in this as well just thinking its a bug hunt but there dead wrong.
The gameplay has a paper sizers rock type of melee combat and the marines act like a modern day FPS something new that you haven't seen before.
Predator- Good story, Good Campaign
Marine- story could use some work, and FPS elements are good for this game
Alien- hard to master but when masterd is very fun, weak story
with three campaigns multiplayer with up to seven modes and two map packs now avalible to download this is a game not to pass up. AVP fans will appreciate this game everyone else wait for the price to drop a little because you could be a little dissapointed.
and for the multiplayer its not the next halo or modern warfare its something fun to play.
Gameplay 9/10
Story 8/10
Graphics 7/10
Multiplayer 10/10

'Not bad for a Human'. AvP is a honest attempt with great ideas, and some noticeable problems.

A game worth the hype. With great character models and environments . A short campaign and some controles hold it back.

A game that tried to do too much then delivered too little.
