ArmA III for Linux
- Feb 8, 2013 6:36 am GMT
Now that it's fairly clear that Microsoft's long-term strategy for Windows includes plans to deprecate the desktop, desktop applications and desktop games, I think it would be a timely move by Bohemia Interactive to release a version of ArmA III that runs on native Linux. Especially in light of the fact that valve have now released a Steam platform for Linux.
Blizzard have recently announced that they'll be releasing a game for Linux, while the developers of Unity 3-D have added Linux compatibility in the latest update of their game engine, so it just seems the perfect opportunity for BI to do it right now.
By the way I'm not a Linux fanboy, I'm a Windows user but since Windows 8 I just don't trust Microsoft any more.
