Armored Core V User Review
I remember when this series was awesome was easy to get into now it's too complex and fast paced and really boring.

- Difficulty:
- Very Hard
- Time Spent:
- 10 Hours or Less
- The Bottom Line:
- "All flash, no substance"
This series has been failing for 10 years now, armored core 2 and 3 are the best in the series on the ps2, anymore and it just gets dumbed down.
Graphics are not even very appealing anymore everything is super grainy and kinda hard to see they clutter up the hud with lots of pointless stuff.
Music is just meh it's not bad ass like it used to be.
Gameplay is horrible way too fast paced you cant get your bearings straight takes way too long to even get simple movement down, I played for maybe an hour and knew this is not a game for me.
Story is terrible, hate that it's online based guess what so was chromehounds had no story but the mp was a lot better teams worked together at least until people cheated the hell out of the game, they should have just made a second one that had a nice lengthy sp with awesome mp but not enough people played after all the cheating and got taken down.
Honestly I would just stick to the original 3 games on the ps1 and ps2, they did it right was hella fun and was able to master it fairly quickly, wasn't too hard or easy.
This series hasn't been great in like 10 years
This game for me is unplayable and will be returning it it's a shame as I was hoping the next one wouldn't be even worse at least they took out the shielf thing which made armor worthless really.
Rent it and then be done with it, this is worse than even duke nukem forever at least you knew how to progress in it even if i didn't finish the game for being utterly terrible but this is pretty much same deal.
Oh well I wont buy another one ever again unless they go back to the classical gameplay and story missions where a narrative tells you what you need to do and how to do it and was fun.
Overall a bad game.

Armored Core V's enjoyment comes from online. If you have no online capabilities then it's hard to recommend.

Flawed multi-player design prevents it from being what it should.

Are you the sort of gamer who finds complexity and a steep learning curve off-putting, or do you thrive on them?
