- "Grows on you"
After the prevous dissapointments with assains creed dlc I certanly didnt find myself certain on whether or not to invest in it.But being an assains creed junkie i couldnt resist the temptation. So The DLC The Da Vinci Dissapearance costs 800 microsoft points and is divided into a single player and multiplayer add on.The single player experince can be played at any point after sequence 3.The story which has Ezios Good friend Leonardo Da Vinci kidnapped by a mysterous religous group the colt of ermisse. And you have to rescue him.The new singleplayer also includes a a new pub game rolling dice.A few new districts and a new character Salai who is Leonardos assistant.Who is every thing you wouldnt expect. He is more intrested in womanising and gambleing than painting and creating elaborate machines.
The single player takes about 3-5 hours to complete.
The multiplayer aspect of Brotherhood adds several new charcters and maps along with new game modes chest capture,Escort and Assainate.
Chest capture plays like manhunt were one team is hunted down by other team.Chest capture is basicly the same but with chests scattered around the map for the hunting team to protect along with hunting the enemy team. And you will want to protect the chests since the other team ,the hunted can retrieve these by staying in the area around the chests. And recieving a massive point bonus. So there is a risk/reward elemnt as you find your self decieding whiether you will hide and try to survive or attempt to retrieve the chests.Escort my personal favoute of the 3 has one team protecting 2 AI controlled VIPS Walking through check points which earn team one points all team one has do is to protect them.Easy right?Well it would be if you didnt have an opposing team set on assainating your VIPS and anything that gets in there way.And finally Assainate which I havent yet got the hang of but I will try again over this weekend. In Asaainate have to blend in and try to spot anyone acting suspicously, lock onto them to accept the contract and kill them while hoping you havent blown your cover your self. You see your goal is to kill the other players,so your not given many obvous clues on who to kill.So thats basically everything The Da Vinci Dissapearance has to offer. And personally I think its good but i would have been more happy to pay 560 microsoft points but still whiether you just enjoy the multiplayer or the single player or both its deffintly worth a look.
The good
Some solid Assains creed gameplay
Excellent new multiplayer modes forces you to adapt new strategies
Cool new multiplayer characters and maps freshens up familar gameplay
Salai is a great new character
The bad
The story doesnt give us many awnsers to the main storys questions
Not enough content for 800 microsoft points
The story is dissapointing.

A great extra scoop of Assassins Creed action, it's nothing new but still good fun.
