Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles User Review
- Difficulty:
- Hard
- Time Spent:
- 10 Hours or Less
- The Bottom Line:
- "Mixed reactions"
Assassins Creed Altiers Chronicles is a good first attempt, but could have been a lot more well rounded.
Pros.
- Graphics are very good
- All lines are fully voiced
- The controls are easy to get used to
- Always fairly easy to know what you are supposed to do next.
Cons.
- Controls are clunky
- A.I. is about as bright as a garden hose
- Some parts are just flat out frustrating
- There are parts where if you don't get it right the first time, you have to start the level over.
- Free running is more spills than thrills
Story: 6/10
Really nothing to get excited about.
Sound: 6/10
Sound effects are nice, and they do have all the lines fully voiced, but its not good.
Graphics: 9/10
Nice backgrounds, everything is nicely detailed
Difficulty: 5/10
Everything is insanely easy, until the parts that pop up way too often that will force you to restart several times over.
Presentation: 8/10
Menus are nice and easy to navigate, but they are a little too futuristic for a game that doesn't have the same story as the original game.
Gameplay: 5/10
The A.I. is so bad, you will be in a sword fight with someone, and the others will just sit there and stare at you until you murder the person you are currently fighting, and repeat. Not to mention the controls aren't very solid.
"Fun" Factor: 6/10
It is a lot of fun, but there are parts that will have you want to hurl your $200 iDevice at your wall, and last time I checked, that's not a good thing.
Should I get it?
If you want a solid action game then yes, but only if you already have Hero of Sparta, Its an okay game, but it isn't great.

Good, but way too frustrating for its own good.
