It would literally double replay value, at the very least.

And that is precisely what is wrong with this title. Faux stealth. You're an assassin who has little or no need to be stealthy. I'm enjoying the game but I find it annoying that there is so little emphasis on stealth. You are a native american who hunts yet unless you're hiding in brush or using you cloak of invisibility in a tree there is no way to stalk animals or people and that is what, as an assassin, I want to do. Assassins stalk

One thing I learned from AC2 (or was it brotherhood) was that they had these challenge modes. My favorite taught me a lot about the games mechanics, which helped me master the system by pitting me against hundreds of soldiers and yet I could not get hit once or I fail.
I learned to never waste a button press through spamming, one is enough and anything more will force you you to miss an opportunity.

They do have that mode. It's called "Start a fight in the middle of Boston or New York". There is no achievement or trophy but you will kill waves upon waves of enemies.

This. Eventually Jagers will start to spawn at Level 3 and look for you, but there will always be soldiers around.

Stealth doesn't work in the Cities the guards pretty much can see through anything and are telepathic, hell I expect to hear "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!"

I disagree. I would like such a mode to be implemented, so that I would not feel the need to kill in the main game. Something like the VR training from Brotherhood, where you try to earn the highest possible killstreak. It is fun, and I would say why not have it in the game? Then I do not have to go to Boston or NY if I want to simply practice fighting.

I think you're on to something about it being able to possibly dissuade players from killing everything in sight... Which would help immersion, if you could just do it in a VR training or something, instead of massacring people for no reason to get better.
I will say though that something like that would only make sense if it had some kind of stealth situation simulator as well.
Ultimately none of this would matter until they actually start rewarding their players for playing conservatively again. (I say that with regret.)

Why, because I enjoy the combat in a game where the combat is one of the main factors?
If anything has gone wrong, it's the fact that people like you are complaining about the fact that combat is easy. If you like stealth and feel there should be more of it, that's fine, but that doesn't mean the combat has to become crap just to fulfill your wish to turn this game into an all stealth game. What's wrong with adding options, has that every hurt anyone? Would making an entire different mode affect the stealth portions of the game at all? No, so shut up and enjoy your stealth.

Without entirely ripping off Batman, they should do something like the challenge maps, where you have a category for stealth and another for combat, which is kind of what they did with the VR in Brotherhood, and I don't see why they took it out. Unlike the challenge maps in Batman though, I'm talking about
non-stop fighting and killing, which would keep any fan of the combat preoccupied for hours on end.

I got into the 100s in Boston once. I was getting really annoyed because groups of guards just kept showing up.
