To all those who think adding Naval Warfare to this series ruins the franchise, think again. Assassin's Creed has been on the mainstream for such a long time and each iteration of it contains only little of innovation of improvement. Not only does Naval Warfare add a more different approach to your daily routine as an Assassin, it adds even more depth to its universe WHILE still under the current context. Remember, the war between Assassin's and Templars are notching up this time. It would be very true if they enlarged the scale even more than it was before.

And on that faithful day, zero gameplay was shown.

 @heguain

So you would give a 9 to a game you haven't played yet. You could be a professional gaming journlist!

I really want to like this game but Revelations completely destroyed any enthusiasm I had for this series.

Also, this vid just seems awful. When did Assassin's Creed stop being about stealthily assassinating targets and start being about commanding large scale sea battles? I want to be an assassin navigating the streets and rooftops, bringing justice to evil men through stealth, subterfuge and hand-to-hand combat. I don't give a shit about calculating wave heights and decided what kind of ammo the cannons should use.

I will try to reserve final judgement until I've at least read a review, but nothing I've seen so far has interested me in this game, which is a shame given how much I loved AC, AC2 & Brotherhood.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

 @JangoF-76 They've been making this game for the past 3 years, it'll be nothing like Revelations. And the naval battles add variety, I'm INCREDIBLY excited for them...and this is still an AC game, OF COURSE all the rooftop stealth will be there and hand to hand combat. You don't want a carbon copy of the previous games, then AC will turn into another COD clone, and nobody wants that.

 @JangoF-76 Are you kidding me? how can you not be excited about Naval battles? This sort of thing has never been covered in a game before (I hear they're optional any way), and pretty much everything you just said you want in an Assassins Creed game is going to be in AC3. I wouldn't worry if I were you, if you'd been paying any attention to the news on this game lately, you would know that its supposed to "breathe new life into the series" and wont be anything like Revelations.

i'd say the next assasin's creed will take place in russia and will be starred by John Rambo. 50 bucks onto it.

Even though the PC version will be on Nov 23 developers completely ignoring it  ,not even mentioning at the end of this video- October 30 for PS3&Xbox360. I know that the PC piracy is high,but come on let people know who are looking forward to buy this game on the PC.

Does anybody else suspect that the huge game world the creators have been trumpeting is half ocean? I mean I'm sure naval combat will turn out to be great, but for it to be only a diversion from the main gameplay, I the oceans required to have these epic battles don't take up half the world, or more.

 @killa-d I'm fairly certain the oceans are going to be completely separate from the open-world, and they said Naval battles are optional.

Glad to see game companies doing different things but idk, I get the feeling this will be a chore after doing it a few times.

I'm so looking forward to this game. The only downside is that I wish that you could be on the side of the redcoats...

This reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean online :P Looking forward to this, seems to be a crucial part of the game

I'm hoping this might be incorporated into the multiplayer component - I'd love to engage with others in a simulation such as this!

Kudos to Ubisoft for introducing new gameplay that is fresh(literally actually) while remaining true to the franchise. Lazy developers would just add QTEs at that.
