I, myself, had reported something like 20 or 30 separate bugs in about 4 different threads ('cause I categorize) and they're all gone now.

Was it in the tech support section or the main discussion section?

From the section called, "Bugs."

Maybe they are deleting posts about bugs they are already aware of, to keep things organized.

lol no, it's called damage control. Some people research before purchasing a game, if they visit the bug report/tech support forum and see it flooded with complaints, they're less likely to pick it up.

However when I went on their forums yesterday, they had two massive lists of bugs found since release, which I believe were sticked.
Why does everyone think all devs are conniving little bastards?

Speaking of bugs... there are a few graphical issues Ive encountered so far;
- The Theres no shroud. I can see the whole map at once, although I can only move characters to sections I've already seen. (So I guess the shroud is still there, its just transparent!)
- No circles around the characters bases, so I cant tell who I've got selected at a glance.
- No 'drag box' visible when I try to select multiple chatacters.
Ive downloaded the patch, but it hasnt made any difference.

Comments like this are very ignorant... To think that people would lie to keep their new product selling better is just astonishing right?
FYI, not saying that this current dev team is doing it, but i'm sure it happens quite often (EA games).
Those in charge of what the people desire will always lie to appease the people and try to deflect/bury the issue if they messed up, because in their eyes it's a small white lie that people will forget once the problem is fixed, so no reason to confirm that there are problems and loose possible sales right?
It's usually easier to say "tinfoil hat" to the guy being a little suspicious about being ripped off then actually considering that you were ripped off. ( not saying anyone was actually ripped off with BG:EE, that can debated, but not by me, don't know enough about the game to judge, but enjoying it so far with the 1 hr i played it )

No, it isn't astonishing, but to assume by default that developers are lying, when other explanations exist, is ignorant.

That is a sweeping generalization and you're applying it to every company in multiple industries you couldn't possibly have any first hand knowledge of.
It's usually easier to say "tinfoil hat" to the guy being a little suspicious about being ripped off then actually considering that you were ripped off.
If you bought a game, you know if you've been ripped off after playing it, but that's not even an issue because value for money is totally subjective in video games.
The tinfoil hat comment was towards people who concoct a worst case conspiracy theory to explain actions or opinions they don't agree with because they want those actions to be morally corrupt and wrong, and not because they can prove that, in this case, the developers are removing bug reports from their message boards in order to increase sales. Its a selective explanation that makes true what they want to be true instead of proving what is true or even allowing for other possibilities.
