A new trailer for Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts was shown at Microsoft's E3 press conference, showing off the new create-a-vehicle feature along with minigames.
Rare's Banjo-Kazooie is set to make its first appearance on the Xbox 360 later this year, and according to the Microsoft E3 conference, the game will hit this holiday season. To celebrate, Microsoft showed off a new trailer from the game at the presentation, and it featured a new create-a-vehicle mode alongside what appeared to be minigames.
The trailer itself started with prerendered footage in which Banjo could be seen running around and collecting rubbish. After that, we jumped straight into the action and saw some of the land, air, and sea-based racing in the game. But the key feature is set to be your ability to create vehicles in the game, which was shown briefly in the video as someone used the in-game tools to build a tank.
One other cool feature of the game was what appeared to be the minigames. It looked as if Banjo was flying into a circular platform filled with dominos, with the goal to knock down as many blocks as possible. At the end of the demo, we were also told that Microsoft is set to release the original Nintendo 64 Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox Live, a move that is sure to please fans of the Rare classic.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is set for release in Q4 2008, and you can expect more information when E3 itself kicks off tomorrow.
A game like that on the 360 is what they needed because never have I seen a fun game that everyone would love to play
ummmm, i dunno, this is not what i expected from Banjo Kazooie, i know that they have to work a lot of things to finish the game and looks really good, but until now i dont think that this game will have a great future. The character design, the land, the dont use de xbox 360 potencial, and i dont talking about in super-realistic grafics, what im talking about is something more than the N64 games. its a shame that nintendo loose this game, with the wii this game would be awesome. that's all i have to say
Wait...wha? The original BK on XBLA? EFFING YES. Half the reason I keep my N64 plugged in is the games by Rare. If they can get around to Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark and Blast Corps on XBLA or Wii VC, I'll finally be able to show dem young'uns what quality games looks like.
I loved the first two games... but this one looks so different, will be interesting to hear about the finished result.
I loved the first two Banjo Kazooie games, and while it's different, I think/hope it'll stay true to the essence :).
