Dice community manager Daniel Matros talks about the new features in Bad Company 2 Vietnam.
@jimi_13 actually there will be 4 maps form the get go and one map unlocked after 69 million team assist (like revive, repair etc.) so 5 maps in total
This all looks great, BUT, size matters multiplayer is what it is all about. Large maps make for happy gamers!!!! I have been pissing around with COD Black Ops for the past few weeks, it?s not bad, even very good in some aspects. The weapons are good and there are a lot of them with innovative ways of improving the weapons you have, almost addictive. But, As usual the maps are small, there are NO choppers, tank or vehicles of any type, sniper rifles are a waste of time as there are no locations that that a sniper can ?hide? for any length of time, and, the smarties have discover that waiting bin one spot WILL get you someone spawning sooner or later no matter how many different locations available. So, BC2 has it over COD, as usual. We just have a few things to do to make BC2 the very best it can be. Better matching up of teams (equal skills on each team) And of course MORE large maps with vehicles.
The pack hits the EA Store and Steam on Dec. 18 for PC and Dec. 21 on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Vietnam will be available at all participating digital stores for PC on Dec. 21. This expansion includes four all-new maps, new weapons and vehicles, and additional trophies and achievements. It will cost $14.99 or 1200 MS points.
Sniping is so sick in battlefield BC2 it's so satisfying to hit someone half the map away while they're running, or shoot people out of helicopters.
Decided to put black ops down for a bit and brush op on battlefield BC2 i forgot how fun and not annoying (like COD) it is. Can't wait
Looks pretty damn good for a DLC :) How many weapons per team though? Battlefield 1943 was cool for a DLC eventhough there were only 3 actual weapons. This time i want alot more :D
@Sardinar I agree.Black Ops is probably the best CoD to date and has ironed out the "CoD bulls**t" that put me right off Modern Warfare 2.Surprisingly I love Black Ops. I also though MoH wasn't that bad. It's campaign is probablystronger then BC2s but in the multiplayer it doesn't come close sadly. It feels like a "cut and shut" BC2. Back on subject,I'm looking forward to this.It looks superb and will definately get me back on BC2.
@lorddaggeroff I agree. So that everyone watching a BFBC video doesnt hate on me I'll be up front. I have always been a Call of Duty player only because COD 4 was the 1st online shooter I really took up. I do agree with a lot of the gripes people have with COD however, it is very flawed and although the development system and stat comparisons etc makes it addictive it doesn't really add the depth it could do with. I have grown to like the Battlefield games more recently and have been enjoying Bad Company 2 especially due to it having online trophies for the PS3. Thought I'd explain all that so you know I am not just an everyday hater we get so many of on here, I have fair opinions and I agree with lorddaggeroff when he says MOH was a pointless game. The campaign was short and very linear and shallow. The online was basically Battlefield but nowhere near as good. It seemed fun when I first tried it but eventually the terrible flaws and glitches and awful rushed level design made it terribly frustrating and revealed how crap it really was. All in all it was an incredibly lazy game with very little thought seeming to have gone into its design, a cash-in if you will. Shame because I used to love MOH games. I think the fact that CEX had piles upon piles of them in store soon after its release and that there are tonnes of copies on ebay every day are testiment to my argument and show how many people in the UK agree with me
WTF is with the MoH comments? Sure Dice did the multiplayer but its not their game. Just wait you'll get DLC for it. Unlike MW2 where you have to pay $10 for old maps. BC2 is a better game where you can blow up walls. Sorry that wood plank isn't going to save you. The only thing missing for this Dlc for BC2 Vietnam is singleplayer.
I wish they would remake BF Vietnam completely with the new features. As well as a singleplayer campaign, because Nam was intense.
@KENNYKENNEDY You're saying that MW2's multiplayer is better than BO's? Have you got any idea how many multiplayer imbalances MW2 has compared to BO? Danger Close, One Man Army, Noobtubes, Commando, Painkiller... There are many reasons to hate on MW2, but not on BO. BO is a step forward.
"we want to give you the best multilayer experience" .... what happened to MOH? I think MOH multiplayer is actually much better than COD:Black ops, but isn't as good as MW2, which isn't as good as BFBC2, which is the best of the last 18 months. So hopefully that means this will be great.
