The saddest thing is that Dishonored looks and plays muuuuch worse on PS3 than on PC, and on PC it's not even the GOTY.
If Journey won award for GOTY and if it is a PS3 exclusive then why would ps3 game of the year be something so different?

If Dishonored is so awesome (haven't played it), make a Multi-Platform Game of the Year category.
@astr0creep Honestly I love Dishonored. And if it were PC Exclusive I might be able to get behind this. But I actually play it with a controller cause it seems easier. Should not even be in this category. Exclusives only. Same with the other platforms.

Dishonored is a beautiful game in every aspect of my point of view, it totally deserves this recognition.
Um how is this PS3's goty when PS3 is not the pathetic 360 that can't come up with a new franchise they rely on halo PS3 rely's on more new games so why not pick a PS3 exclusive cause most of them are better than the third party games.

Sure it is good if you want new games (and I do too) but if you like what MS is delivering at least you know you will get it, with Sony I can either get a marvelous system like the PS2 or a crap one like the Vita and it's just a gamble which I get. I am not wanting to dive into next gen right away with Sony or MS because Sony has little to offer in the way of good stable franchises (since I'm not a fan of uncharted or Killzone etc.) and MS isn't delivering enough fresh and good franchises to compensate despite having a big hitter like Halo.
I half-figured when I saw you ranting on the shooter page you wasn't actually a halo fan though lol, probably just a fanboy calling the 360 pathetic and praising the PS3 lol. I even prefer the PS3 but be honest or stop presenting your false and poor fanboy opinions as informed ones.
@flyingzebra20 probably because GS is stupid.... they give the GOTY for Journey and the PS3 winner is another game.... maybe they forgot that Journey is exclusive for PS3, i think they dont even know it!

1 Like dishonored deserves this, especially since it's an original ip. it's very very rare to see a new ip succeed so much! if you think it was boring and repetitive, it's because YOU are boring and not creative. any game such as this or far cry 3 where you choose how to approach any situation is only as fun as you make it to be. they give you the tools, and you have the freedom to do as you wish! it's a great concept and i wish games used it more. if you're so retarded that you need your video game to be a linear rollercoaster ride for it to be fun, then go back to COD but know that it those games don't deserve GOTY. the innovative and new ip's should win because it promotes evolution in video games, more developers will look to be innovative themselves if they know it can succeed like Dishonored did. so stop acting like the republicans of the gaming community and get used to change...
not sure how exactly you tie politics into a game of the year discussion, but it's good to know you that someone as mature as "Wizardboy" is helping to vote for a president who will right the sinking ship that is this country.

PS3 game of the year should be a PS3 exclusive,Dishonored better than far cry 3 i don't think so.The award should go to Starhawk considering it's a PS3 exclusive.
1 Like When I think of the PlayStation exclusives that I've actually bought this year and enjoyed the most then Starhawk would easily steal this category.. Don't be fooled by my biased 'Warhawk' username and Emmett avatar.. haha.. but the game was actually damn good. Platform-specific categories should focus on titles only present on that console. There's no need for a general Game of the Year if all sub-categories vote for the same thing anyway :/

@warhawk-geeby I think Starhawk got less votes because it promotes violence. Not great for our school kids.

Tough call. All great titles. Dishonored certainly deserves it. Mass Effect 3 is right there though. Hell, I would have even chosen ME3 but Dishonored got it so I ain't mad bro.
1 Like max payne 3 was a candidate??? That game was sooo repetitive and had more flash then substance. Max payne 1 & 2 where done much better.
Interesting choice, but certainly not undeserved. I thought it could do a little better with its game elements (stealth vs action), but it is magically charming.
