Best Sound Design

While music often plays a crucial role in enhancing the experience of playing a game, sound design often adds a great deal as well. Games with the best sound design offer excellent and memorable audio effects that are not only impressive on their artistic and/or technical merits, but also contribute directly to the gameplay. Realistic-sounding weapon reports, clever use of dynamic audio, and smart audible cues that lead you through the game are just a few examples of excellent sound design that can make a good game great.

    Yay I am glad for this, the sound for Killzone 2 was really very good, and absolutely enhanced the game.

    Well here's ONE category that wasn't voted Assassin's Creed by mindless fans.. I think the horror genre relies the most on sound effect, and SH: SM really did it well. My vote goes for that.

    last year this was easy you just had to vote for dead space. not so sure this year but i'd say killzone
