Most Memorable Moment

Every year there are some games that are good, solid, consistent experiences the whole way through, and there are some games that are lacking. And every year there are some games with a moment that stops us dead in our tracks. Did we actually just see that? Did this game just do what we think it did? Compiled here are the games with 2009's most memorable moments.

I just watched the ending of dead space extraction and did not see the part where you "strategically dismember yourself by slicing off your own hand" . WTF?

The ending of MW2 is pretty epic and the no russian level is defineltly memorable if anything. Ah what's the point in voting, GS seem to be taking the least voted game for these awards. At the time of writing it's MW2 on 594 votes and Dead Space Extraction on 82!

Spoiler Alert: I feel that mw2 should get this but not for the no russian level, for the awesome throwing knife in shepards eye at the end

I like how they put on the votes for Dead Space Extraction "Strategic Dismemberement on Yourself" also out of the ones i played i would say that the motorcylce sequence in Ninja Blade was the best.

Meh. No Russian was an utterly pitiful experience that was put in purely for shock value alone, and makes no sense logically. Why can't you just kill Makarov whilst you're stood next to him? oh, because you fail the level, thats right. Utterly lame.

The Train sequence in Uncharted 2 was good, but a little long for my tastes.

Amazed that Boulder Punching in Res 5 made it through though; classic moment!

Lol at boulder punching. But seriously 'No Russian' what a joke it was a cheap trick by IW to shock people. If your going to do that in your game at least explain wtf is going on instead of randomly appearing at an airport and gunning down civilians

Oh dude, I'll never forget how my friend and I laughed at the ripped Redfield punching that rock. Definitely that one.

IW don't deserve to win for sensationalist crap which does little to impact the story, I imagine acting out that scene had very little emotional impact on the vast majority of players. In fact I'm sure some actually found it fun. I vote 3D Scarecrow.

too many good moments but how many of us actually consider call of duty unforgettable? that level slipped out of my memory as soon as the game told me to kill as many russian soldiers as possible
