Special Achievement

Best UK-Developed Game

The United Kingdom is home to some of the best development studios in the world, despite facing increasingly stiff competition from countries such as Canada, China, and Korea. Rockstar North, Rockstar Leeds, Criterion Games, Codemasters, Rocksteady Studios, FreeStyleGames, SCE Studio Cambridge, Headstrong Games, Sega's Creative Assembly, and Sports Interactive are all situated in the United Kingdom. And these development powerhouses have all produced outstanding games this year.

Plus I had no idea how much of a small niche in the market EmpireTW occupies.I thought it would be a lot more popular! Although admittedly they did make a royal mess of it before all the patches (slightly) improved it. Still the best game though.

"without a doubt" the best game out of the UK hmm? I think 94% of voters would agree you are, without doubt, talking s*$t.

    it should hv been DIRT2

  • TfcIan

    Posted Dec 26, 2009 3:52 pm GMT

DiRT for the simple fact that the devs pushed it back for DX11 to make it an even better game.
dwd_27, are you an idiot? Fifa 10 is Canadian developed.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is, without a doubt, the best UK-developed game this year.

Aaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahaaa. I'm posting that comment all over the internet. These awards are all fixed. They must be.

A whole award dedicated to UK (Go UK!) and yea i agree that Arkham Asylum should've got it but to be honest it's the most overrated game of this year (Yes i have played it and yes it's amazing but it's still overrated). I bet that i'll get at least 5 thumbs down by tomorrow XD

good god, just saw the video review for chinatown wars . what were they thinking. talk about a slap in the face for batman. i can only guess that they received some bribes, maybe some free ds's loaded with it.

won't be checking the rest of the winners if this is anything to go by. really piss poor.

    absolutely unfathomable

It's good to see the large number of properly good AAA quality titles coming from UK developers these days

Disappointed that Batman didn't win, but any game that gets an 18 on the DS is okay by me!
