Most Surprising Game to Make it Past Aussie Censors

Another game banned in Australia? Is that even news anymore? Sadly, the home of Mad Max, AC/DC, and Wolverine (or Hugh Jackman, anyway) is now better known for its draconian game censorship policy. But for every game that gets refused classification Down Under, many more manage to make it past the censors with what seems like a similar--if not the same--type of "questionable" content. Since Left 4 Dead 2 and Aliens vs. Predator were banned in 2009, which one of the games below was the most surprising game to make it past Australia's Classification Board?

Madworld got released in Australia??? If so, why is everyone voting MW2, that wasn't that violent and you could skip No Russian.

Dragon Age. I'd never thought a game with a (potential) gay sex scene in it could ever break through those barriers.

I don't think people understand this award properly. It's not best game to make it past Aussie censors, It's most surprising. So in my opinion it should be a GTA game since they seem to get the most press for being controversial.

    haha, what a category!

Of course they let MW2 through...
It -just so happened- to be the biggest selling game of all time.

Im beginning to think CoD fanboys are voting for it just so it will win something regardless of whether it deserves it. Madworld is clearly the most violent.

In what other game can you slam four signposts through someone's head and proceed to shove them repeatedly on a wall-mounted spike (called a rosebush)? If that werent enough, the commentary: "A rose by any other name, will still f*** you up"

MadWorld. The game is nothing but dismemberment in particularly gruesome ways.

Madworld is a lot more suprising. I wasn't suprised when MW 2 got through, they'd be idiots to ban a game as big as that.

Modern Warfare was always gonna win!
Good one Modern Warfare 2 you win this one!

Prototype had excessive levels of violence - chopping people in half, absorbing them bloodily, & pounding their faces into mush kinda won it for me.

Modern Warfare was always gonna win this category the same way it will win in every category simply because it's Modern Warfare 2 and not because it actually deserves to win. For me Madworld edges it because of the extreme amounts of blood (albeit cartoony) and violent nature of the game.
