Special Achievement

Best Writing & Dialogue

An interesting overarching plot can definitely make a game more interesting. And voice actors giving excellent performances can also add a lot to the experience. But while a good story and skilled actors are valuable, so are solid writing and clever dialogue. Voice actors can really shine if they have superior material, and great stories become something truly special with well-written narrative structure and with dialogue that makes characters more memorable.

UC2 because also of the voice acting.

R&C felt like a Saturday morning cartoon - sure, that was the point but something like U2 had warmth, charm and wit that R&C couldn't match - especially with such a strong emphasis on slapstick this time around for the villain and other NPCs

Ratchet deserves it, but I think Brutal Legend, Mario and Uncharted had better dialogue. Hard to choose one of them, though!

    Dragon Age Origins.

I also enjoyed Velvet Assassin, so a bit disappointing to see no-one has voted for it yet, but there are better games in the list

Uncharted 2 I felt had a much better story than number 1 and that wasn't bad either.

Though I liked the way ACII switched into Italian in certain places, I thought A Crack in Time was written quite cleverly & still kept a certain level of predictability to keep you playing.

Haven't played Dragon Age so I haven't been able to vote for it in the many categories it's been nominated in.

@MarioGirl64 - Haha you must really love Layton, you've mentioned it in every nomination section

To be honest I've not played all these games but IMO Dragon Age is the best written but bearing in mind I haven't played 8 of the games on this list.
