Best Story

A good story can move you to tears. It can make you think. It can stay with you long after you've finished the game. In other words, while the gameplay may be what first draws you into a game, it's the story that so often keeps you invested. But a story isn't just about what happens between the beginning and the end; it's also about the delivery. Great dialogue delivered by great characters, the twists and turns of a winding plot, and the thrill of extraordinary circumstances can make a great story wriggle under your skin and keep you thinking about it even when you aren't playing. This year's greatest stories took us across the world, through fantastical realms, and into the past, but one compelling tale stood above the others.

@Aurora268 I'm guessing the point in voting would be to see just the viwer's opinions. Also how many people have cryostasis here? ( i haven't and don't know if it got a lot of copies sold).

Ok, what? Cryostasis? Erm... how? Especially when you could have Uncharted 2 or Dragon Age this year, both of which (especially the latter, imho) had great stories well told. Cryostasis had a pretty clichéd story told in a not particularly convincing manner. As a gameplay mechanic the reversing-things-in-the-past was pretty cool, as an instrument of story telling, its no more than an interactive version of reading journals/electronic logs/whatever that has been around for about 14 years....

While the story in Dragon Age was well told and acted, it wasn't anything I'd write home about. Fairly standard fantasy rpg stuff without any real originality.
For me Uncharted should've taken this award but whoever nominated (and worse still voted for) MW2 needs to see a professional. The story in that game was utterly terrible and absolutely not the reason millions of people bought it.

is this a joke or what? how on earth did Cryostasis win in this category, when it was actually listed at seventh place by the Gamespot voters?! pull yourself together, GS. honestly, anyone would think you chose it at random.
