Best Graphics, Technical

Graphics are by no means the most important feature of a game, but they certainly do matter. While bad controls can suck all the fun out of a game, great visuals are capable of drawing you right in. And when a game has truly terrific graphics, not only is the person playing it capable of being lost in the experience, but so is anyone within sight range. That's the sort of competition we've got among this year's crop of finalists. Inside, we have photo-realistic cars, twisted zombie monsters, intense warzones, lifelike wisecracking treasure hunters, and stunning rooftop views all vying for the grand prize. But no matter what, the winner will prove just how much terrific visuals add to a game.

    Nuggetol it is because the PC has better graphics than consoles. The PS3 and 360 were built some years ago, designed even longer ago. PC's get new components on the market regularly so they are the superior system and will always be ahead of the consoles.

    I wonder if the graphics would even be better if both Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 if it was ported to the PC? If you look at most of the graphic comparisons made from GS (Gamespot) they've usually commented on how PC graphics look better. Also if you are going to say why didn't a PC game win then? Different games.

    Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 were the two best looking games of the year, period. The two games that finally truly showed what the PS3 could do. Two of the games that make me wish I could afford a PS3 :p

    It had to be either Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2. Either one of them deserved the award more than any other game.

    Cryostasis: The Sleep of Reason - Ha Ha. I'm a PC gamer but from what I've seen I think U2 deserves it.
