Special Achievement

Best Downloadable Content/Expansion

Downloadable content continued to become increasingly common in 2009 and afforded us opportunities to keep enjoying games long after we've purchased and played through them. DLC comes in all shapes and sizes, and while the content isn't always worth the asking price--or even worthwhile--we're frequently treated to add-ons that both expand and improve upon the original games, as well as give us compelling reasons to hang onto them long after we've watched the end credits roll. All of this year's nominees add to existing games, making them almost impossible to trade in by their postrelease content--both traditional new expansion packs for existing games and downloadable content for existing games were considered for this category, which is why you'll see both types of games here.

GTA's expansions are downright epic. A worthy victory

Fallout 3 would've got my vote, but Mothership Zeta was a poor ending to it all, it felt rushed in every aspect. Ballad of Gay Tony will have to be my vote, even if I didn't think it was as good story-wise as The Lost and Damned.

I'm surprised Borderlands:Zombie Island of Dr.Ned didn't make it into the top 10 but i think Fallout 3 DLC should have won :S

Fallout 3 for producing both quality and quantity. A bit too pricey IMO if you buy them each individually, but a far better deal as the GOTY edition

I also agree Fallout 3 by far, but I feel dragon age should have been here because of it's brilliant DLC. Mainly the Shale DLC.

Burnout should win this, the DLC lineup was sublime, and a good portion of it was free!
