Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing User Review
- Difficulty:
- Very Easy

- The Bottom Line:
- "Disastrous"
As shown by the boxart and the name this game seems to be about using a big rig to race other big rigs to the finish line. Sadly, that's not true and instead of racing other big rigs you have to race yourself to the goal. This is because their is no Al present in the game. The Al is still as a rock at the starting line. That's not the only problem with this game. The physics are also very broken. This makes you want to laugh at the game because you can act like a superhuman in the game. The game likes you climb up mountains that no big rig in real life can climb which lets you get out of the race course easily which leads to massive shortcuts to the finish line and your ability to go in the air. You can also randomly phase through parts of the race track and buildings which can be rather annoying if you want a straight path to the finish line. If you also try to go in reverse the game's speed meter will be moving in the negative direction at an infinite speed and your big rig may control horribly and the game will fidget like crazy. The next problem is the game's detection of you winning a race. If you don't change the game's setting to a certain setting you will be able to race to the finish line with no problems and get the elusive You're a winner trophy at the end of your race. If you do change the settings by chance to a setting the game does not like the game will give the You're a winner trophy right before your race starts. The game also seems to crash a lot if you choose a certain course on the stage selection screen. If you do choose this course some error message will appear and kick you off the game. The graphics are also well below 2003 standards of a PC game and the game looks like an early 3D game. This leads to the game's environments to look rather bland and downright hideous. The character models also look outdated and the textures are horrible. The controls are fine at times, but for most of the time your big rig will be insanely hard to control. All these problems will eventually make you not want to play this game anymore. This is because the game has no gameplay.I suggest everyone should stay far away from this horrible game unless you feel like playing it for fun.
