Claptrap's Birthday Bah glitched on me (SPOILERS I guess)

When I started it, I didn't feel like doing a timed thing so I just left him holding the invites. Then I fast travelled away (Claptrap's place) and back and did another quest in Sanctuary and when I came back to do the quest, there was a second set of invites floating beside the ones in his hand. Both were marked as a quest item. I picked one stack up, got the delivery targets and the timer was still paused. After I delivered them, the quest finished normally except that Claptrap was still holding a stack of invites in his hand throughout the whole party.
Pic after the party ended:

Timer is supposed to stay paused until the last part of that questline, when you get back to Claptrap, you could've picked up the invitations whenever.
But yes, Gearbox didn't test every scenario for how people like to accept quests. For example, if there's an NPC with two or more quests, if you accept multiple of them in one dialogue, it'll only give you one of the audible quest prompts, that's personally really annoying. So I have to accept one, exit, listen to it, talk to the NPC again, accept the second... etc.
There's a lot of small nuances and lack of playtesting that makes this game aggrivating.

What you could do is accept both, hear whatever they have to say about one mission, and switch to the other in your mission log: you'll get the other message that way.

I guess that the timer was OK then. It was my first run, so I assumed that you have to distribute the invites on a time limit.

Aren't those two audio prompts different? I could be wrong though. If not, then thanks!

From my experience they're the same.
