    SPOILERS JUST TO BE SAFE

    As the title says.

This game, their personalities have been really fleshed out.

I used to really dislike Brick, but after B2, I think he might be my favorite of the originals.

I feel the opposite.....I loved Brick cause he was just a crazed berserk maniac....Now he seems like the tough black character that roland isn't.

I didn't really expect Mordecai to have the personality he does. Other than that, they're about the same.

Lilith has always been my girl.. and still is.

I thought Roland would sound ghetto, despite being a mocha god.

I did'nt really play with Mordica all that much in the first but I feel that the drunk personalitly really fits him for some reason

Honestly, I didn't like Brick and Mordecai in the original, but now I'm having a hard time deciding which of the two is my favorite character. Assumed Lilith was a badass 'cause of powers, and dunno why, but I always thought Roland was the man

I played as Brick in the first game. I liked where they went with him. A crazy berzerker butthole who likes to punch and kill people became king of the bandits. Make sense to me.

I pictured Brick much differently and I think his voice actor didn't do him justice. I really liked Brick in BL1, so I was disappointed. Everyone else was great.

Not sure I appreciated how much they seem to have played down strength/ability wise concerning stuff like Wilhelm and getting held hostage, etc.

I mean, these guys killed The Destroyer (who I can only assume is close to or on par with The Warrior), defeated the Atlas army and General Knoxx, and slew Crawmerax (evidently cannon seeing as Mordecai mentions in one of his conversation idles to you). Not to mention all the crap they killed between all that. They basically got played out as bumbling incompetents JUST for the sake of peddling the fact that the new 4 are more powerful. I know 'plot', but still.

Other than that, I quite liked their characterisation bar Mordecai. Though that's most because I imagined him as a cocky, somewhat sarcastic snarker from his kill talk in BL1. Wasn't expecting an alcoholic has-been in BL2, but it worked, wasn't bad by any means.

He has the same VA...so it would be the writer/director's fault.

Brick is really awesome in BL2. The ones who turned out crap are Lilith and Mordecai. One's a drug addict with weak ass story-line powers. And the other is a drunk with a bird fetish.

    Jack let Wilhelm lose.

Yeah, that's one thing I don't understand..... the original's wussification.

Though, I get the feeling the canon setup was they took out the Destroyer as a group...

Then with Mordi getting Moxxi... losing her and then becoming a drunk... they lose him, and Brick and Roland have a fallout.

So as a group they were strong, but individually...... not so much.

I don't think I ever realized Mordecai was, like, hispanic. Except for the nigh-Luchadore mask he wore in the first one, haha.

Kind of besides the point. Wilhelm is just a Hyperion engineer in a bigger version of their normal mech suits. If Wilhelm is so powerful that he can trash the original 4 who killed an eridian sealed Eldritch abomination in a Vault and a giant craw worm known for being invincible, just how powerful is he exactly?

Either he's tougher than everything the original 4 ever fought which is hard to believe, or they really overplayed his power to downplay the original 4..

That's only speculation. It does seem plausible, but it's never brought up at all in the story or dialogue. Angel only says he modified the power core to have a hyperion up-link. It's more plausible that he did so, in case you defeated Wilhelm. He could have been counting on you to die there. We don't know.

If they intend on keeping the rest of the VH's for BL3. Then it only makes sense that you also play as all the VH's in BL2 as well. This is something I wish they would address. Either only one VH survived, and who you play as doesn't matter. Or they all survived, and they're with you for story sake.

When I mentioned that to my friend, he got mad. He's a huge Japanophile and thought Mordecai was Asian. I was like...listen to him talk?

Canonically, I never really expected Mordecai to drink. That was odd. Also didn't expect him to go after Moxxi. Not surprised by that one, just didn't expect it to be canon.

And as was stated, didn't know he was Hispanic. He didn't speak with much of an accent, or throw any Spanish into his idle chat.

Other than that, nothing too out of the ordinary/unexpected.

You have to take into account that the first four aren't really vault hunters any more. Three are resistance fighters, and one's a bandit clan leader. (At the start of the game anyway. By end of game, they're hybrid revolutionaries/vault hunter comebacks, and one's a corpse)

BL2 gave them actual personalities and quirks, other than being mass-murdering treasure hunters. I liked how they are depicted in BL2. Nothing against BL1, but it did lack in the plot and player character development departments.

Why are so many people in personal ads looking for D&D free? What's wrong with a little tabletop roleplaying?

    <Post Game Spoilers>

Watch the credits, they have little comics of all of the VHs....

The new 4 praised as heros.

Lilith taking over the Crimson Raiders.

Brick and Tina killing Hyperion people.

Mordi getting a new pet....looked kind of like a fledgeling Rakk.

So clearly the new 4 all survived.
