Mighty Morphin'

So im on TVHM during this quest. I injected a cocoon and killed the mutated varkid. It dropped the quest item needed to continue it. I however didnt pick it up, save/quit. Because I mistakenly thought thats how I could farm them for xp.

However. When I got back to that area, I could no longer inject the pods, and the quest item to continue the quest is nowhere to be found.

Is this a known glitch? Anyone know about this or a possible work around? I tried reloading a few times with same result.

I had the same thing happen to me in my first play through, I wasn't able to fix it.

Find someone else doing the quest online.

There is one big difference between Call of Duty and Skyrim. Call of Duty adds content each game while Bethesda takes away. -MC2011

I've read that the fix is to join someone else's game that hasn't completed the quest, and complete it with them.

Awww. Ok then. Thanks for the responses. That however isnt possible for me. I dont have a home internet connection. I play solo only. It will irrate me but not game breaking.
