Borderlands 2 IS the best game ever made. Lots of people claim this or that is the best game. Let me tell you WHY Borderlands 2 does what no other game does.
Graphics are good. This game has a unique engine for graphics. It doesn't try to look real, but does. The shading in this game reminds you you are playing a game...but it will NOT deter you at all. The sounds that go with it are music to your ears. Guns sound like guns, although some may not look like guns....more like hand cannons. The story line is complete. It follows well, with only minor deviation. The game has NO filler to make the game longer. It gets to the point, stays there, and goes full on to the finish.
The game has so many side quests, this game is nearly impossible to beat. This makes the replay value high. There have been numerous updates to the game, as far as extended areas, new quests, and even a new character! It hasn't been out that long for all of these things to come, but they have! SO, unlike COD, Halo 4, Skyrim....what have you....Borderlands mixes it perfect. It mixes it all....and then has the online support to keep you playing for hours, days, and even weeks.
Truth be told this is the first game I have ever called in sick just to play it. Where COD and Halo 4 lack off line interest, you can hook up with your friends at home, and then build off line characters also. Then, if you have online ones, you can use those to level them up! The xbox live play is FANTASTIC. This game has NEVER lagged, or had any kind of twitch online. EVEN WITH FOUR PEOPLE doing co op!!!! THAT IS UNHEARD OF! Combine this with the fact there are millions of guns in the game. You heard right. Millions. There has already been two updates that added MORE! There isn't any more I can say about the multiplayer. It has revolutionized live while maintaining the classic split screen for those like me who appreciate going old school at times.
This game has it all. Story line. Live play. Replay value. Online support. Graphics, sound, movement, speech, easy controls, easy menus, and most of all...humor. The game is hilarious, and the boss "Handsome Jack," keeps you in the game just so you can hear his insults to you. It is simply magnificent. I picked up Borderlands the first, and played it about six months before two. That game was awesome, and I had no idea how they could make it better. Well, they took me, slapped me around, and laid this game on my chest while I blacked out from the pain. I awoke to golden fields of goodness. This game IS the game to own this year. My vote for game of the year. So far, over 100 hours logged, and three characters total. Keep 'em coming....because there is no rest for the wicked.

Mindless shooter, made it about 80% of the way to "well done" and dropped the ball. Still quite playable.

Yes, Skagzilla can be defeated without dying. Lilith used an incendiary SMG, and finished with a shotgun. Proof of one play is placing the bait.Posted Dec 28, 2010
