This is one of 2012's best 'grab some friends and have some fun' games. Its an absolutely great time the entire first time through, with excellent writing, fun characters, and a load of fun guns, grenades, and talent customization. The only way to not have fun playing this game (if you are a fan of first person shooters, and also pretty-OK at them) is to not try at all. I'm serious. The first one suffered from pretty glaring pacing problems, while this one, except for a cinematic here and there, or a quest you forgot to do, has very few of those pacing problems, and flows very enjoyably.

However, True Vault Hunter mode is like Wu Tang Clan, in that they are nothing to muck with. This will try your patience to the brink. My friend and I beat the game and unlocked this mode, and got to a point where it was just too hard -- so we went to the DLC and are now trapped in DLC that is too hard as well! Beware and be prepared to respec, but most of all, be enjoying this.
