So I put the game in the console, very excited to see what the people from 2K has managed to pull out of their hats, and lo and behold I was looking at an almost identical game from the first one. Graphically and game play wise, it's pretty much the same game.
There's some new things that were added to the sequel that was cool. The ability to upgrade 3 different trees for your character. Badass points were given to specific challenges which in turn gives you a choice of 5 or so upgrades per point. These include more health, faster shield regeneration, faster reload times etc etc. That was a nice touch I thought.
There is simply an unlimited amount of weapons. I don't even know how many weapons I picked up in the 60+ hours I played this game, but not one of them was the same. The guns and bombs are randomly generated, meaning most people won't get the same 2 guns. We were playing 2 players all through the game and the guns we got were completely different every time. So good on that.
The acting for the supporting cast is really good, and some of the characters are super funny. Specially Klaptrap. It makes the game a lot more entertaining.
I did feel that thought there are quite a few side quests, the main missions were really really short. I think if you had to play only the main quests you could in theory finish the game in less than 5 hours. Seriously.
So although it was just more of a good thing, I felt like it was just an add-on to the first game.

Borderlands 2 is a well put together humorous Co-Op game game mixing First Person Shooter and Role Playing Together.

While a little overrated in my opinion, still a very solid game.

Yes, Skagzilla can be defeated without dying. Lilith used an incendiary SMG, and finished with a shotgun. Proof of one play is placing the bait.Posted Dec 28, 2010
