GameSpot AU spends some time with Splash Damage CEO Paul Wedgewood to get some comprehensive info about the style and mechanics of Brink, as well as ask him a couple of reader questions!
they better do more ways to get Armour gear etc other then leveling up

i'm definitly getting this game but i swear to god if they delay it again i will sue! though it's looking pretty good so i doubt there will be any more of the long delays. though i have to admit the SMART system looks cool and definitly makes it more tactical
This game looks very good!!!!!!!
Sounds like Assassin's Creed Control good
great customization, bethesda doing the story, massive co-op focus and best of all FREE RUNING, I must have this game
Just my opinion but this looks plain boring and too similar to Borderlands. Nothing 'brand new' about this game. I hate FPS games who only focus on gameplay and graphics and doesn't provide immersion, which is why this game won't get a high rating. Mark my words. Developers you should look and learn from games like gta, rdr, halflife, fear, bioshock etc. Rage looks way more immersive and interesting to me.
This games looks like it will be alot of fun and very team oriented. I also love the weapon and character customization of the game. Also it has slide into cover+lean+peak controls in the game, Finally a game with an actually lean and peak option!
cross platform multiplayer?
I hope the SMART button isn't something that'll be really awkward to use in combat...
looks like it has some of the same mechanics as mirrors edge.
I hated the look of this game when i first saw it but now im dying to play it
Looks awesome! Can't wait for this game
looks like boderlands art style..which is a good thing
The Vector at the beginning looks super sexi
man i cant wait for this game it is gona rock
I'm hoping for balance. It looks good, but will its gameplay be as good. Its no fun to be instakilled by cheap tactics in any game.
COPY AND PASTE THIS TO EVERY VIDEO The game that is going to kill all games coming in fall 2012 is the Modern Warfare Bake Me a Cake game for the Wii. That game is going to be hot. I heard when you reach level 30 you unlock this perk call the Martha Stewart baking sheet that decreases ur baking time by 15 minutes. CANT WAIT MAN
The slide is a cool aspect of this game.
An FPSer's fantasy. Looks great. Can't wait to jump into multi-player.
This sounds sooo sick omg. "Bad-ass gear' lmfao.I like the fact that they give options to CHANGE you're playing style. I don't mind the art style in fact i really like it, I like it cause different. And I liked that guy in the interview (no homo
I like how the guy slides under the wall and the dude just blows him away before anyone can try to interrogate him
From what I saw in this video, it'll be safe to assume that it's kind of cross between Borderlands, Team Fortress, Mirror's Edge, and, as @hellgothx145 said, reminiscent of Half Life 2's battle for City 17. Is it going to have AI in offline multiplayer? I've been missing that, since the days of Counter Strike and Nightfire. So far this looks pretty damn well perfect for me. I enjoy the fact that this guy knows what people want in FPS games! It's reassuring.
@Morisyoh51, have you seen the character's face and body? why are you expecting realistic things?
This game looks great and I can't wait till it comes out and I like how the movement works.
I want it!
OMG it seems amazing... like Morisyoh951 the ground looks like unfinished...
Game looks good but the ground is not realistic!
This has alot of promise, hopefully it will deliver! =)
If done properly, this game could be a great breakthrough for gaming!
@N0tYrBeezin .....Touche.....
@N0tYrBeezin .....Touche.....
@sheah1 May be we should just call them waiters!
@N0tYrBeezin And these are the henchman, these are the people on the ground completing orders.
@TedBundyFan One can move non-stop, dodge, jump, using incline slope to jump level rapidly in Unreal Tournament even back in 2004. What is so special about SMART? They just conveniently forgetting players were already doing that way back.
@sheah1 I am saying I don't like having only the choice between ugly and uglier. I am not asking for handsome pretty boy, just give me something ok looking that don't look like henchmen of some boss in a superhero game.
@N0tYrBeezin No, that's what I mean, everyone is ugly because no-one is the good guy or the bad guy, the looks work perfectly with the art style and the equipment. And as you said about S.M.A.R.T. you won't see it, so does it matter? Plus the S.M.A.R.T. movement looks like it works perfectly, from this video it seems like the movement is perfectly balanced so that you actually feel the movement, just like in Killzone 2.
...Oh and the characters just look so f*ck*ng awesome too!!!!
Some comments are just plains stupid, this game will be awesome! That's right you will not see your character doing the cool moves, so f*ck*ng what??? You'll see them as if you were doing 'em ..... some people these days....
@sheah1 What do you mean no ugly villains? The characters are all ugly. Ugly heroes, ugly villains! You do realise all you are going to see of the SMART is the camera bobbing up and down right? You can not see your own character doing any of the cool moves. You will probably see other people doing cool moves.
@-Geo Crysis, Deus-Ex, Fallout, Elder scrolls and Rage, some of the most anticipated FPS' of E3. Not one of them are known for any kind of multiplayer whatsoever.
@N0tYrBeezin I think the looks are to give the game a more artistic style and to make the factions much more grey than black and white, there aren't any handsome hero's or ugly villians, and to show the damage of this world. I quite like the looks, they allow you to focus on the characters clothes and downright beautiful movement. Seriously, S.M.A.R.T. is the best thing ever for me.
Ive been tracking this game for a full year and it seems that its improved far beyond my expectations. Already got it reserved. No question, that this game will revolutionize.
he's a lefty?? dont see that often
Whoa, the guy talking knows all the good stuff that needs to be in a fps O.O FINALLY. Definite buy :]
Ok ignore what i said about females, i just read on the brink forums that they excluded them to focus on a better range of custom gear for males + to cut down dev time so the don't have to make 2 sets of animations..
@N0tYrBeezin I agree they are a bit ugly, also i wonder if you get the choice of female or male character, i haven't seen anything about it yet but i hope you do get that option.
Oh I am not talking about the clothes and equipments. Those are fine.
This game does need a plastic surgery for the characters. The current customisation allow you the choice of making less ugly, ugly, uglier and super ugly characters.
