Check out this trailer fresh from the Ubisoft E3 2011 press conference.
Alright... it does look interesting, probably will get it, though this should not be a *brothers in arms*... it fits no where in the series.
i don't know about u lot but im always looking at new interesting games i am a shoot em up fan especially 1st person shooters GearBox is a good games company n i like the games they have made so far so im gunna try this game n see what i think soo yeah keep the good work up n we'll see how this game plays
So, what does this have to do with Brothers in Arms, at all? That and the IB jokes aside, the game just looks dumb. Def not a buy or rent. $30 bin within 3 months.
what happen to Matt, Dawnson, Red, Zano and Jasper??? Ive been waiting for the conclusion since 2008??
i'm sick of game developers removing swastikas from nazis so that the game can sell in germany. i know this is fantasy, but if i'm going to be killing nazis (and not just german soldiers) i expect swastikas as well as other nazi regalia.
i disagree with what everyone is saying, i think it looks pretty fun... however they definitely shouldn't name it brothers in arms because i love that series and the emotions as well as realism it brings
Way to totally disgrace WWII veterans Gearbox. You FAIL! They need to show this to a room of WWII vets (the few that are still with us). They'd realize their mistake, and then probably not make it out of that room alive! I just can't imagine how they feel good about themselves doing this.... :(
Well if they wanted to ruin BIA this is the way to do it. Start a new IP if you want a team fortress WWII game.
@ nifepartie The original Brothers in Arms was the kind of game that recreated its battle locations, its equipment and its story events from old photos taken during the battles, and from eyewitness accounts. The kind of game that deliberately made you move slower while aiming, avoided giving you too many grenades, and used real military tactics during battles. The kind of game that had a "Band of Brothers" style to its storytelling and had no music during its gameplay. Do you really think this trailer was an appropriate use of the license I just described? Whether the game is good for what it is or not isn't the issue. The next ARMA game shouldn't be CoD in a box and the next CoD game shouldn't be ARMA in a box, nor should it hint it may be that in its marketing. It's unfair to the fans that made the franchise successful enough to warrant a sequel in the first place.
Yeah lets all pretend we know exactly what the gameplay is going to be like and whine about a game we actually know nothing about. Can anyone explain why you don't like the actual game? i'm not talking about the announcement trailer. How can anyone pretend to know anything about the gameplay mechanics, plot, graphics or anything else having watched a minute long trailer that showed none.
why ruin a brand , i can understand that the other brothers in arms didnt sell well but i loved it, but why this ..
Why name this Brothers in Arms? Why use the name Need for Speed for a sim game ? Why use the name Need for Speed for a QTE Parkour game? Why use the name X-Com for 2K Marin's FPS \ whatever hybrid? Ours not to reason why, ours but to buy and die...a little, you know, on the inside.
@anurp24 this just an other branch of BIA think of it like the tom clacy series, they are different games under one umbrella. thats what they are doing with BIA. they still plan on continuing bakers story
after all the respect talk in the past, with careful attention to detail and the input of military experts, this is quite the disconnect. i mean, sure do the game, but don't call it BIA. talk about "off-brand".
At first I was excited but after watching the trailer I feel like Gearbox just tazed me in the balls.
Wow!!! Just Wow!! I don,t know what i should think or say about this one lol! Well i will try to anyways, first off i always respected the brothers in arms serie because of the team based and tactical setting, also about the painstaking work the developer teams put in there to make to game as accurate as possible what translated into taking pictures of buildings and actualy going to the locations the actual battles took place and it was always about the first airborne division. This not looks at all like all this, i def agree this trailer just shows us how much the team must been inspired by the movie inglorious bastards. I not wanna crack this game down before i not seen any actual gameplay footage but mhm!! I,m probly not the only one that was kinda hoping to see a REAL brothers in arms game again. Word to developers of Gearbox the 1st Airborne fought in the ardennes aswell (battle of the bulge) just giving some ideas ;)
