I feel insulted every time a reviewer leaves out the fact local multiplayer is non-existent. This game, and this mode in general needs a local multiplayer element. There is a constant feature in the game of doing better than your friends, but that is only if they are online friends. Criterion is one of those studios that can't figure out that local multiplayer should be in every one of their games. If they designed their games around it they could appeal to more people and get more talk about their product. Instead they keep doing stuff that annoys and alienates everyone that got hooked with Burnout 3 because of its local multiplayer modes.
