- Jul 2, 2011 10:04 pm GMTJust a quick heads up:
I've noticed a lot of people with "v7" in their gamertags or clantags. These people are generally hackers. If you see one in your lobby, keep a close eye on them.

Sigs are overrated. - Jul 3, 2011 2:15 pm GMTThis {v6} or {v7} clans are hackers, at least the majority of them.
Report them if you catch them. Reporting does work, you hardly find these players again on XBL again.

- Jul 17, 2011 3:35 pm GMTI'm a little worried. You can get banned from xbox live for life when utilizing the hacks in a modded lobby.
This is a common answer from the Xbox Live Enforcers
"You have been witnessed using cheats/infections in a multiplayer match. This is a violation of the Code of Conduct/Terms of Use which was agreed to when the account was created."
Now, what worries me is this. What if I enter a game which is modded and it is not apparent at first. Until I press the jump button and flies a 100 feet up in the air. Now, I just used one of the hacks by pressing the jump button. And I'm now risking to be banned even if I leave the game immediately.
Should I just stay away from Call of Duty games? I dont want to be banned
- Jul 17, 2011 5:16 pm GMTThe team enforcer only penalizes those actively "Exploiting" infections and using it to their own advantage over game play. So randomly getting into a game then leaving will not get you banned, but actively using infections/modded lobbies will.
1. Never play in modded lobbies. I enter it all the time, just leave. Getting caught gaining exp in a modded lobby is a violation of XBL ToS, and can get you banned if a enforcer catches you.
2. Never accept infections/prestige lobbies. It cannot be done accidentally. So if you were playing a normal game while exploiting wallhack or flying, then you can get banned.
It is worth mentioning that they ban based on investigations. Many have claimed they were "innocent" and it was actually quite funny how some were revealed to be using infections.

Let me add, I too enjoy seeing "my son was banned from XBL and we want to know why! we closely monitor everything he's done and we've paid a lot of money for him to be able to play, and he's never done anything wrong!", followed by a message about using infections or something of the like.

Now he sits around and he stares at the walls.
He can't do anything at all. He can't do anything at all. - Jul 28, 2011 1:31 pm GMTIt has come to my attention that a lot of hackers are secretly using the "UAV Hack" or "Wallhack", and by that I mean that they aren't spamming messages. This allows players on the opposite team to glow visible to their screen even behind walls. Unfortunately it is hard to determine based on kill cams, but more experience players can tell.
Report them if their actions seems suspicious to you. While viewing the kill cam, judge and see if their actions was benefited from hacks. The most common giveaway is having their cursor aimed at the target (behind a wall) prior to a kill. And this is all done without an enemy UAV.
It is important to not accusing someone who is "just better than you"of hacking. Reporting an innocent player won't get them banned, but if the player happens to be exploiting infections/hacks, they will be.

Have a good laugh. - Jul 28, 2011 1:47 pm GMTHere is an example of how to spot UAV/Wall hackers that aren't spamming messages.
Take for instance a kill cam of a player running into a room and getting killed by a hacker. A hacker would have his cross-hair (or line of sight) follow the target behind a wall as the target makes his way to the door. Any normal player, regardless of skill, would never do that. A normal player would have had their cross-hair is fixed on the door the entire time or aimed after the opponent becomes visible.
It is important to scrutinize the kill cams, and make sure these kids do get banned from Xbox Live. (which they don't deserve to be on in the first place)

Have a good laugh. - Aug 1, 2011 2:58 pm GMTI believe I got on a deranking lobby a bit ago
Now I can't join games the message of the day tells me that I'm not connected to Xbox Live.
And whenever I hit the Xbox Live option it tells me that there are 0 of 0 players online.
Are those the effects of the De-ranking lobby?
If not I hope it is not something bad

Xbox 360 GT: Ives Josue
Now playing: Halo Reach, Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2 - Aug 1, 2011 3:28 pm GMTThe only thing striking me as odd is that you can't join games (I think the MOTD tells me I'm not connected, and I know it almost always says 0 of 0 players online). Send a message to fourzerotwo on Twitter or XBL if the problems persist.

He can't do anything at all. - Aug 6, 2011 12:28 am GMTI really don't remember that much hacking last year, aside from a few wallhackers, but I come back and 50% of the people playing the game are spamming "Welcome to p***sland.net I <3 you guys", wallhacking, and TELEPORTING! What happened to this game in the past year?

"Error 482: Somebody shot the server with a 12-gauge. Please contact your administrator." - Gordon Freeman - Aug 6, 2011 9:04 am GMTThese people don't want to play fair. They purposely took advantage of gameplay because they have this fear of being killed, or having a low k/d. Best thing we have at the moment is to report them. Reporting does work, since I never had to report the same hacker twice.
Most of them are biting the bullet and starting their second account from their ban, but I still manage to report people with +30k gs who are cheating.

Have a good laugh. - Aug 7, 2011 2:35 am GMTYou'd think it would get repetitive. Is standing at the spawn getting a headshot on somebody across the map 2,000 times really that exciting? It's not like you can brag about it either, anybody could do it. It's like playing rise of nations and only using cheat nuke, it's got to get boring sometime

it never gets old killing people through a wall. Especially when you yourself know that you shouldn't have been able to 1 burst them from that angle. Of course, if I could see them through said wall perfectly I wouldn't feel as good about it, but there are people who also enjoy bronze medals, ya know? - Aug 22, 2011 6:57 am GMTHow can I prevent my chances to see them in a match
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Go to Their Gamertag
2. Under Submit Player Review
3. Select Avoid
4. Select player skills > Lacking skills
I want to point out that if you give someone a review for skill, you'll only avoid them and it won't hurt their rep. I suggest giving an unsporting conduct review instead, as you probably want to hurt a hacker's rep.

My son splits his time fairly evenly between his [Playstation 3] and [Xbox 360]. He doesn't know yet that you can only like one or the other. - Aug 22, 2011 6:45 pm GMTYes, I agree. Sorry can't make the edit in OP though.

Have a good laugh. - Sep 3, 2011 1:09 am GMTIdentifying Hackers who are NOT spamming messages
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was pointed out by another users, but one easy way is to really study the kill-cams and game messages. The players exploiting infections will have words in their gamertag that are offscreen and viewable only through kill-cams or in-game feeds.
One example is "Unbound" in front of their gamertag. Possible way to identify this is through killcams (shown on the bottom) and in-game messages. (for example: "Unbound{xx}GT has connected" or "Unbound{xx}GT called in a helicopter".
These people are cheating.
Report them under Tampering > Cheating.
Also report anyone hosting modded/prestige lobbies you see through messages. These are against the rules of XBOX Live and they will get banned because of it.

If that spreads, then I'm putting my disc back in the case, taking it outside, and running it over/peeling out on it until I run out of gas.
