wow i hated pc for so long just cuz of hackers and then i come and play this game on xbox and theres still hackers?????????????????????????????????
I totally thought u couldnt hack on xbox sombody tell me wuts going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hacking is a marketing strategy. They slowly release the hacks a few months before their newest game is released. People eventually get sick of their games with all the hacking going on and are forced to buy the newest one, hack-free. Rinse and repeat.
I even think those hackers that linger on those servers are people that are paid by Activision/IW to secure and promote the unpleasant atmosphere in those games to keep the sells up for their newest one.

I guess it's a good thing I've been playing since the Gamecube version? Should modify it to MW2 though; CoD4 was still a respectable time to enter the series.

I guess it's a good thing I've been playing since the Gamecube version? Should modify it to MW2 though; CoD4 was still a respectable time to enter the series.
COD 4 was a respectable time, but the problem is people tend to make topic after topic like "Such and such is the best game since COD 4" or "Is BO II going to be better than COD4?" or "Why can't COD____ be like COD 4?"
... and my favorite (hence why I created this sig)...
"I've been playing since COD 4 and COD ___ is the worst in the series?!"
Here's a fact very few posters on Gamefaqs know:
-COD 4 was actually NOT the first COD... Cannon it's the FOURTH, total in the franchise it's the EIGHTH...
So if you're going to use general sweeps like "in the franchise" or "the best COD" and you haven't played most of the games in the series, you're credibility is pretty shotty.
But since you brought that up, I should modify my signature a little I guess...

Everybody knows CoD4 wasn't the first, but it was the first that got massive popularity. CoD2 had good multiplayer but only a fraction of the player base that CoD4 had. People were still occupied playing Halo and Medal of Honor before CoD4 came around with a new non-WWII setting
