Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 100 or More Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Great multiplayer"
I would like to give this game a 10, but something stops me. That something is the reliability of playing online.
Most reviews say the single player is too short but very good. Personally I think the single player is brilliant and should be short as really it is just a pre-curser to the excellent multiplayer. The single player campaign is as slick as they come and great fun to play. The controls just feel right and when you play another FPS after COD you just think... why are the controls not the same?? and why can't I aim!
Multiplayer is where the fun is at though. I've spent far too many late nights playing this. I would say though if you are someone that likes completing challenges don't go into prestige mode. I did and I sort of regret it. I've put a lot of hours in and I just don't know when to stop! When you go into prestige mode you loose all the challenges and start literally again from the beginning.
The two gripes I would have about the game are related to the multiplayer though. I would say that the maps are slightly too small, the weapons are so powerful it would be nice to be able to engage over a longer distance (not to mention it would cut down on the random grenade deaths!). But this is a minor issue. I would say the games one achilles heal would be the reliability of getting into a game with your mates and sometimes getting into a game at all! If you've ever played and get the 'Downloading Game Settings' error you will know what I mean. Just google it and you will see. I was experiencing this for a month and could barely play... the ps3 almost went out the window! But this anger just goes to further re-enforce how badly I wanted to play the game because it is fantastic!
Definite must buy for any console.

This is truly FPS at its best. At least at the time this may be a little outdated with MW3, and the BF3 but this is fun.

Took some time to make another Hellsing playercard emblem for the PC version of Call of Duty Black Ops, in this tutorial I show you how you can create AlucarD, as always you must unlock all 12 layers first and buy all the neccessary stencils first.Posted Feb 20, 2011
