i have never played halo 4 but this game does not deserve any awards. Its a fun time killer but thats about it

whats funny is a tiny % of the people who bought the games even bothered to vote, all the poll did was show MORE halo players look at IGN then BO2 players ( what does that say for there taste anyway?)
was nearly 500k people playing BO2s last night (last time i was on halo4 MP last week had less then 100k during the even peek hours)
Halo4 does have the better story and better looks but thats it, Bo2 is way better MP for me and thats all i truly care about it.

Halo 4 isn't perfect but it's FAR more balanced than BLOPs2.

Im a long time halo fan, been playing it online since halo 2s release day.
Im playing COD and halo 4 is gathering dust. Halo is now a casual mess, no map control any more, no competitve rank system , ordinance is terrible.
I barely played BO1 and didnt play MW3 but BO2 is really good for an arena shooter, and the League mode is great for competitive players, hopefully when people stop quiting it will be better.
I dont see how people voted for halo 4 in the multiplayer section, graphics fair enough, but halo 4 is broken as it stands and the Devs wont communicate on anything regarding fixes.

I can take all the "problems" that people here complain about. What I can't take is their total disregard to the hardcore players.
Capture the flag IS NOT the most popular gametype & has absolutely no place in hardcore over HQ & Dom.
So, congrats Treyarch. You've finished what IW had started when they bastardized HQ. Now, no one on my friends list wants to play this POS. And I really don't blame them. If you've been enjoying Baseball everyday after school for years, then someone comes in & states "no more baseball - we're gonna play golf from now on". You'd most likely lose most, if not all of the group, as you"ve taken away what made them get together to play in the first place.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I may be headed to BF3. I lost quite a few friends to it already due to IW's lack of respect towards HCHQ & a few have been talking about making the jump after seeing that Treyarch has let us down this time around.
Way to know yor fanbase.

Not that I like agreeing with IGN because I think they are generally full of **** but I do agree quality wise that isn't even a fair poll. Halo 4 is a great game that works as intended. Black Ops 2 is a laggy glitchy broken piece of trash. If not for zombies I wouldn't even own a copy. The multiplayer in the 2 most recent COD games are high blood pressure simulators.

Halo 4 won because its a better game. BO2 is also really good but not as good as Halo 4 in any of those categories.

I have played both, and I will say Halo does win out in Campaign and multiplayer, but for MP it's a close call. Graphics is more of a choice between art styles, either the gritty real-world feel or the nice bright and clean style.
Campaign will always be better in Halo as there's more of a story and world built around Halo games VS CoD. Multiplayer in Halo is less about who has better connection/weapons, and more about how good a shot you are and how you maneuver and play the maps. Even the "worst" weapon can easilly beat the "best" if used right, whereas in CoD it's who sees who first.
CoD however, it is nice to see people die quick VS having to empty an entire clip to earn a kill, and be able to aim with more than a sniper, as well as not be wrecked by energy swords and rocket launchers/ incineration cannons/ sticky detonaters/ Mantis'...
When it really comes down to it, both are great games, but people are going to flock to the game they do better/ get more kills in. It's more simple preference than which is the better game.

Isn't Halo 4 the most "CODified" and worst Halo game of all time according to fans of the series? Common complaints are flat maps, no map control, no power weapon control.... the stuff that made Halo.
IGN is just trying to be edgy by hating COD. They did the same with their second opinion last year about MW3 when they trashed it. But when the time of importance comes (reviews) they always praise COD and give good scores. Talk about hypocrisy.

Black Ops 2 Is only a slightly change carbon copy of CoD 4 like the last 3 games were. Of course Halo 4 would win, it was actually a lot more different than its predecessors.

There are many games that have little innovations/are generally pretty good, but never get noticed that much. Due to either some slight issues, or (if they are a fps) there multiplayer doesn't allow for the quick pick up and play that CODs MP allows.
If the game in question doesn't gain that much of the public's eye, it won't really do that good, no matter wether or not it is a great game.
