This is old has been said, and probably a made-up story to begin with. TC claiming the rep told them "The Wii U can't handle the map packs". Please. That's right out of the classic gamefaqs nintentroll playbook.

They said the same about Starhawk on PS3 then the developer nuked it after all those years of development and hype.

Except Project M is still in development and unfinished, and is still infinitely better than CoD ever hoped to be. The devs put tons of their time into a game they care for and want to make it as highly polished, fun, balanced, and technical as possible (and they don't get paid one cent), while Greedvision just wants to suck everyone dry with yearly rehashes and overpriced "DLC".

Because it's better than silly CoD in every way, shape, and form.
In fact, you should just stop right there. You don't know anything about Project M. You think you do, but you don't. You don't need homebrew or a modified console to play it. All you need is an SD card. Calling it half assed is completely ignorant. The devs work hard and are passionate for the game. They pour their hearts into their work, and they don't get paid a dime. It's also pretty hilarious and ironic that you call it half assed because, well... that's what CoD basically is in a nutshell: an overpriced piece of rehashed shovelware. And you can't deny it, because you know it's true.

There is nothing to stop them releasing the DLC for Wii U. It's just a bit pile of data, not code, that the code knows how to load and process.

CoD 4 and World at War on PC easily beat Project M.

It is not surprising that the Wii U version isn't getting DLC; it's the worst version of the game. It has what, like 4000 players online? The $$$ that Treyarch would make would be negligible; it's not worth their time to add DLC.
