- "Disappointing"
I was saving up for this game but realise when it came out I didn't have enough money and I just started renting games, since Assassin's Creed III; after playing this game I am so glad that I began renting games. Since I really enjoy the single player in modern warfare games I thought I should give black ops II a try.
One thing that makes this a bad game is that the previews of the game deceivingly showed that this is going to be a change to the previous Call of Duty games but really there are only few changes to the game making it essentially the same type of game. Though it is hard to describe I will try to explain; when you first play the game you will think this is very different to all the other games in the series but then you realise the enemies look the same the layout is pretty much the same but with a new design. What is he point of playing essentially the same game but with different text formats and 'futuristic weapons' most of which are actually the same guns as in previous games and new ones are not even as good as old guns.
The length of the campaign is extremely short. you would expect such a 'different CoD game' to increase in campaign length but this is not the case as it took me only 4 hours on veteran to complete; I wish it took me much longer. Once the game is finished there is no feeling of accomplishment because it is incredibly easy and the story is muddled up and all over the place, so you really don't know what you have done.
I don't really usually care about graphics but with this game I do because the graphics are not as good as MW3... aren't all successors of games supposed to be better in every way? so in this case graphics are a relevant factor to talk about in a review. if MW3 never existed than I would say this game has good graphics but still the graphics in the game hasn't affected my score and never will.
What is with this game being so ridiculously easy. Many people may disagree and say that it is easy for people who play often but this isn't true, because if you think about the difficulty of other games compared to the difficulty of this game you realise that it is really easy. I didn't even die on veteran. What the hell is the point of playing on veteran if you don't die. It is so predictable.
As with most games I didn't even bother with multiplayer as playing single player beats multiplayer nearly always.
Despite all of this the storyline is quite good even though it is muddled up. The storyline is forgettable but much less than that of Modern Warfare games. The story does sometimes engage you which is quite good for a Call of Duty game.
overall Call of duty: Black ops II is a game which may excites at first but then is from there mostly disappointing. With this comes a good storyline which is surprising. It is so unfortunate that a good storyline was put with such an overall disappointing game.

Took some time to make another Hellsing playercard emblem for the PC version of Call of Duty Black Ops, in this tutorial I show you how you can create AlucarD, as always you must unlock all 12 layers first and buy all the neccessary stencils first.Posted Feb 20, 2011
