- "Surprisingly good"
Call of Duty Black Ops is the best selling game of all time. Enough Said. But having that title doesn't mean this is just another game. Call of Duty Black Ops is a terrific game... on consoles. Knowing that this came out on the Nintendo DS I was very skeptical. Usually when game developers release a port of an already great game to a portable system, it sucks 90% of the time. Call of Duty Black Ops is a perfect example of that other 10%.
I'll get onto the pros and cons in just a second. But I want to bring up one thing that absolutely shocked me, this is a full game. A fantastic single player campaign, online multi-player, and wait... ZOMBIE MODE??? Yes I said it, freakin' zombies on the Nintendo DS. It doesn't get more epic than that.
Let me get one more thing cleared really quick, this is really just a game of its own with the roots of a console game. The story is different, but it keeps the classic Call of Duty gameplay in it.
Pros.
+ Zombie Mode!!!
+ Great Single Player Campaign
+ Online is about as good as it gets for the Nintendo DS
+ Sharp Graphics
+ Great Voice Acting
+ Terrific Soundtrack
+ Amazing A.I.
+ Controls are Surprisingly Tight
+ Oh, and Zombie Mode
Cons.
- Occasional Bugs
- Difficulty can be a little too much at times
Presentation: 9/10
It's a little generic, but give them a break. This is the Nintendo DS, I wasn't expecting much here, but they did give me more than expected.
Graphics: 10/10
The Nintendo DS is outdated, simply put. But N-Space did a fantastic job pushing the limits of the DS and making this the best looking DS game I've ever seen.
Sound: 10/10
Well, graphics says it all. Its outdated but they did a great job pushing the limits of the DS and making this game sound terrific. The voice acting is also great.
Gameplay: 10/10
A shooter on the DS doesn't sound to appealing, but this is a solid game. You won't have a lot of trouble playing it which is great, the controls are very good for the DS and the lack of analog sticks.
Lasting Appeal: 10/10
Online kinda sucks, but I'm blaming that on Nintendo. But the Zombie Mode is as epic as ever on this 3 1/2 inch screen surprisingly enough, and single player may just have you hooked. You might find yourself playing this a few times through.
Should I Get It?
Definitely you should. This is without a doubt worth buying and then using your little sister's DS to play. Totally worth the cash.

Call of Duty Black Ops on the Nintendo DS is a surprisingly full on, non-crappy port of an already awesome game.

Took some time to make another Hellsing playercard emblem for the PC version of Call of Duty Black Ops, in this tutorial I show you how you can create AlucarD, as always you must unlock all 12 layers first and buy all the neccessary stencils first.Posted Feb 20, 2011
