Now having the chance to abuse an A grade connection, I decided to give Black Ops a go. I always knew that game was heavily connection dependent but not to the degree that I believed. I can easily get a chopper gunner every match whereas previously, it would require a lot of tactical - who am I kidding, it was camping - gameplay. The greatest advantage I've gotten was the superior hit detection. This is crucial in BO because there is no Stopping Power in BO, and guns tend to kill a lot slower. No one can get into the top 100 leaderboards for SPM if they do not have a great hit detection. It is literally the most important factor because it not only affects your gun but also your controllable killstreaks.

Having a great connection isn't nearly a big of an issue in MW2 as with BO. I've played on a F grade connection this whole summer. 40-60 kill TDM matches were becoming more infrequent - compared to when I was playing on a B grade connection - but overall, it was not difficult to have the highest KD and the highest number of kills every match. This is because MW2 runs more smoothly and implements Stopping Power. And because the map designs are much less linear, the game rewards players with intelligence. On the other hand, intelligence is a negligible factor in BO. This is simply because the map designs are so primitive. Even a dimwit can do well in BO with a great connection alone.

MW2, unlike BO, actually takes skill that is independent from connection. Sure connection helps but in MW2, a player can work around most shortcomings. This is why great players rarely complain about painkiller, noobtubes, or commando. Obviously they should be taken out of the game but they don't ruin the game like some people claim.

Even from a competitive viewpoint, MW2 > BO.

Wanna know how to fix lag compensation in MW3? Go back to MW2, don't worry, there's no decline in graphics and the maps are better.

Agreed. Great players of CoD, no matter which one, won't complain about anything they can't personally deal with or really adjust to. Netcoding is something that can't be avoided, so that is the only complaint you'll hear out of the MW2 supporters when they are talking about other CoD's.

whenever i feel like complaining about mw2 (due to some people's terrible internet-other than that, no complaints.), i'm going to play mw3, which i recently purchased again. it was under 20 dollars used. amazing how few people play it. when i began playing again, i saw why. absolutely a mess. weapons wildly inconsistent-shotgun could be one hit kill and then the next person doesn't die in four shots. as much as i tried, i just couldn't play it.
