Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 20 to 40 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Best in series"
This is the 4th Call of Duty game in the series I have played and its my favorite so far. I believe that every version gets better because the next company finds out what the players enjoyed the most and they improve upon that while taking out some of the things they didn't enjoy. This one takes the best of World at War and Modern Warfare and adds too their intensity.
The first thing is that I believe they improved the multiplayer immensely. There's so many more weapons to choose from, more perks, more secondary weapons, and odd but fun weapons like the stinger that locks on vehicles. There is quite a few maps that just seem huge compared to other games maps. The weapons have more upgrades which are sometimes fun to mix and match. Also, its easier to see how well your friends are doing by the ticker at the bottom. There's a few problems with multiplayer though: if your colorblind its nearly impossible to tell whose on whose team; there's tons of campers already in the game; getting nuked ends the match and gets old after it happens once; and there's a few other little issues.
The single player is also a pleasure to do. It has you go all around the globe fighting either just in a free for all type battle or going very stealthy while trying to take down the enemies. There's a few notable parts in the game that really stand out from other levels: one, is the level that your asked if you want to skip due to controversial missions which I actually found to be one of the best missions; the other is that there is some levels that make it so its difficult to feel happy about continuing on through the game. Sometimes the enemies are too tough or its just impossible to see due to the blood on your screen and the games lighting in places (cave, windy snow) so you have to repeat a level numerous times but overall the single player is awesome.
There's also a special ops group of levels that is quite fun if you have a friend to play with, either online or split screen. I won't discuss those but I recommend you try them because they are very tricky and fun to try.
Overall, I found that the game is quite an improvement on World at War and Modern Warfare which both with great games themselves. Without the few issues I noticed, this could have easily been a 10. The music is quite good; the graphics sometimes stopped me in my tracks and I died looking at the surroundings; the acting and actors were awesome; I enjoyed the story line which was odd at times but captivating and the weapons list is fantastic. On a side note, I miss driving tanks but riding in helicopters and planes is a nice touch though.

Took some time to make another Hellsing playercard emblem for the PC version of Call of Duty Black Ops, in this tutorial I show you how you can create AlucarD, as always you must unlock all 12 layers first and buy all the neccessary stencils first.Posted Feb 20, 2011
