The Call of Duty Franchise is one of (if not THE) FPS series to beat.
With the intense firefights, the compelling storyline, the constant blood shed, and extreme tension, this is just one of those games that keeps you glued to the screen.
Infinity Ward MAKES you believe that if you look away, even for a moment, you are going to die... and usually its true.
The intensity of MW2 is nearly unmatched, the game's constant suspense keeps you at the edge of your seat every time you turn it on.
But one thing that some people say about this one in particular, is that the story is too far fetched, blah blah blah (etc.) You have all probably heard it before.
And being a Call of Duty fan, it is a little difficult for me, but I have to agree with a lot of the statements.
Yes the story gets a little crazy in certain areas, and yes a lot of the impossible takes place... But then again, why do people keep going to see the Mission Impossible movies.. Because they are just CRAZY, and they are interesting.
The whole plot of MW2 in a nutshell, is that a terrorist named "Makarov" went into a large Russian airport with a bunch of his probable Poker Buddies and started blowing away tons of innocent people, acting, and talking like Americans... Joseph Allen who was just recently put into the CIA is with Makarov during this terrorist attack, after the bloodshed Makarov kills Joseph, obviously finding out that he was an American spy, the Russians find the body of the dead CIA operative, making them believe that the Americans planned the attack, and are responsible.
Then obviously they declared war on the US.
You transition from Task Force 141... "A Super Secret Delta Force" if you will, and The Army Rangers, playing as Joseph Allen at first, and transitioning to Gary "Roach" Sanderson, then when Joseph is killed you are James Ramirez for the Army Rangers, and you remain as Roach for the Task Force, then at the final few missions you play as "Soap"/ Captain MacTavish.
You will go all over the place in MW2, ranging from the middle of the ocean, to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Really what you are doing is killing Russians, or sometimes Brazilians, or Guerillas the entire game.
There are just a bunch of different ways you kill them...
The Single-Player Campaign is a load of fun, and is very very very Hard when set on a higher difficulty Hardened or Veteran.
And then the Multiplayer is also a blast that will keep you playing and playing and playing.
Special Ops, which is either some new ways to kill people when your by yourself, or having a blast with a friend in Co-op is personally my favorite aspect of the game... But that is just me.
You will be put to the test in these relatively short missions that will force you to think fast... Or else... you die.
When with a friend it really requires teamwork, and when you and the player are working together, you really do get to see things work out in a beautiful way for the better.
And you can also play co-op with a player online, which also has its own pros and cons.
Overall the entire game is really exciting and loads of fun, but it is understandable that certain crowds find this game over the top, the game is very far fetched, and insanely intense.
But really, when you got a friend coming over, or a family member who shares a passion for VG's like you do... This game makes an excellent addition.
PARENTAL ADVISORY
MW2 is rated Mature for Blood, Intense Violence, Language, and a Drug Reference.
The game is insanely violent, bullets are almost always whipping past your head, and usually you see people around you receiving hard punishment from the enemies' weapons, and you also will be dishing out some harsh punishment to the enemies you fight against frequently.
When you are shot, or hit, your screen will become littered with blood spatter, as you take more damage, more blood splatter will cover your screen, the blood looks very real, and glistens in the light of the sun, or any source of light around you, making the violence all that more intense.
When enemies or friendlies are shot, blood sprays, spurts, or squirts out of them, sometimes all of them, really depending on how accurate the hit was, and how powerful the weapon was being fired.
When friendlies or enemies are shot near walls, ceilings, floors, blood will spray on the walls or floors near them, not a whole lot, but walls and floors are stained up after a bit of fighting, and it is very noticeable.
Sometimes when shooting an enemy, they are not killed but wounded by the shot, they will drag themselves a moderate distance before stopping to pull out their sidearm, and on occasion pull out their sidearm by the sight of you after being wounded.
When they drag themselves a large trail of blood follows, soaking the floor.
When enemies are killed, or have bled out after being wounded, 75 % of the time a large pool of blood will surround their body.
I mission called "No Russian" where you are a CIA operative disguised as a trusted Russian friend of the main terrorist leader Makarov holds a warning before you play it, describing that you can skip the level and not have any trophy/achievement deduction, or anything of the sort if you wish to, when you skip the mission your instantly into the mission afterwards, when entering the mission, the game makes sure to ask again, and then makes it clear that you can skip the level whenever you want during the mission.
When the mission begans, Makarov tells all of the armored up, heavy gunned goons (Including yourself) "Remember... NO Russian" meaning you can't say anything Russian because you are all trying to impersonate Americans, and then at the end the problem is you ARE American.
You, Makarov and the other terrorists walk out of an elevator near a crowd of people in line to get on their flights, a moment of silence is interrupted by Makarov and his friends mowing down hundreds of innocent civilians for the rest of the mission, you may, or may not shoot any civilians, the choice is yours... But civilians scream, cry, and beg before being butchered by gun fire, and grenade fire, and it gets to the point where the tile of the airport flooring is barely visible covered by the countless bodies, and gallons of spatter, and pools of blood, civilians cry with their dead loved ones in their arms, before in most of the cases being blown away themselves, and people attempt to drag wounded loved ones in an attempt to rescue them, but are only gunned down in the process... This can be VERY disturbing for some, and maybe not for others, you can skip it completely, and it effects your stats in no way whatsoever.
In one scene a man is stabbed by a knife, he pulls it out, blood squirting and gushing from the wound, and then throws it into the eye of his enemy, where blood sprays from the enemy character as he falls to the ground, mimicking a fountain nearly.
Language is both common, and uncommon in MW2, when you are playing as an Army Ranger, Language is frequent, when you are playing as Task Force 141, Language is not really spoken, and when it is... it is very rare.
In certain battles the word Sh*t is screamed frequently, but it doesn't show up on subtitles, and is very hard to hear in the loud fast-paced combat, a few uses of the "S" word are shown in subtitles, and are usually not very noticeable unless you read the subtitles.
Mild swear words such as damn, a#s, hell, Bloody, Arse, and crap are spoken here and there, but are usually hard to hear in the loud firefights.
The Russian words for F**k, and Motherf**ker are used frequently, but they are in Russian, and don't show up on subtitles.
The most noticeable use of language is at the end of the game, where a main villain character says full quote "Five years ago... I lost 30,000 men in the blink of an eye........and the world just f**kin' watched"!
The Drug reference is a multiplayer emblem which is a Cannabis leaf.
A few suggestive things were slipped into MW2, for example players who reach a higher level can get a skimpy girl for their emblem, but you don't really see this, emblems are very small, and they don't appear unless you are killed.
Also a very strategically hidden inflatable doll is seen in a bath tub in a Cabin, you have to investigate, and search thoroughly to find it... and it is not graphic in any way whatsoever.

Took some time to make another Hellsing playercard emblem for the PC version of Call of Duty Black Ops, in this tutorial I show you how you can create AlucarD, as always you must unlock all 12 layers first and buy all the neccessary stencils first.Posted Feb 20, 2011
