Call of duty world at war is the 5th Call of duty in the series.
The predecessor, Call of duty modern warfare, was one of the most anticipated games of all time. That makes it hard for Treyarch to make a COD even better as its predecessor. But they havent failed! They have made a game so intense, that it's a grip on your mind, even as you don't play it.
The campaign is short but sweet like any Call of duty experience.
It's set in the second world war and you play as the Americans and the Sovjets.

What makes the campaign a total blast?
It's the highly historical value. The game is just so realistic and the missions are well balanced. First you take Peleliu island (Japan). When you have taken the biggest part of Peleliu, then you go to the Russian front. You play as Pvt.Dimitri Petrenko, a brave soldier that is the favorite soldier of your commander, Sgt.Reznov. You and Sgt.Reznov march to Berlin and eventually take it. As American, the (japanese) campaign ends when you take Shuri castle, a heavy guarded Japanese castle.

That was the campaign. But that's not the feature that made me fall in love with COD WAW.
That"s the following:

NAZI ZOMBIES!
Yes you have read it right, the germans you have battled stand up for a second time and take their revenge.
The most special to nazi zombies is that the maps (4 in total now) all have their own specific stories, and at every map the mystery of the nazi zombies grows bigger and bigger.
The first map, Nacht der untoten (night of the undead) is according to me, the most boring map.
The second one, Verruckt (mad) is very entertaining, since there are some electroshock systems and Perks-A-cola. That are machines where perks are in and you can buy them to even the odds a little for yourself.
The third, Shi no numa (zombie swamp) is a very mysterious map, and there are some new enemies: Hell hounds and japanese zombies. These zombies seem harder to kill to me and run faster through the swamp.
The 4th map is Der Riese (the giant)
This is my favorite map since its so big and there are many weapons.
Such as the Wunderwaffe DG-2.

The multiplayer is worth playing as well!
The system is the same of COD MW, and that isn't bad, in fact it works out very well!
You can get better weapons as you rank up, and there are more than enough gametypes.

Why a 9 and not a 10?
Because COD WAW is very good, but if you have played MW2 (like me) you will realize that the multiplayer of WAW is a little bit on the weak side. And that's why its a 9 (still very good, isn't it?)
