Castlevania: Harmony of Despair User Review
My score may seem opinionated since I'm a huge Castlevania junkie but I honestly believe this game deserves it.

My thoughts on this game are varied from time to time but after playing it hours on end for 2 months straight I've definitely found this game addicting. Each level you get is huge and there's plenty to explore within the 30 minute time limit that you are given. There are hundreds of items and equipment to spent countless hours collecting which is part of the addiction. All the artwork is the classic hand-drawn artwork that everyone knows and loves brought to HD consoles for that extra flare and of course you have the Orchestrated Metal music that I personally love that adds to the dark vibe a Castlevania game should have. You also get to choose from some of the most popular characters from the series which always adds re-playability. Multiplayer works extremely well although laggy at times it's definitely done right for the game. The only down side I see to this game is the fact that there can be tons more levels and characters and yet Konami said they were not making any more DLC which really sucks so I guess no new characters and maps for all us loyal fans...That's really the only down side to the game but other than that this game is great and that's why I give it a 10/10.

The multiplayer is a lot of fun, but Harmony of Despair could have benefited with a more accessible single player.

Harmony of Despair has a few interesting ideas, but in the end it boils down to a grind

Albus is a nightmare if you want to pass him without getting any damage on hard mode lv1, equip dual Vol Umbra and Sarpiens Vio as well as all your INT raising gear to have a chance against him.Posted May 4, 2011
