Child of Eden has Guy Cocker's foot tapping along to the beat in this video review.
i think its more for japtastic player, really cheap only 12 bucks at eb so not sure if id enjoy it though
Totally looks like "Rez" , better known as Rez HD on the xbox, even the story is really, really similar. I mean, I hope that the same creator of Rez made this, It's really difficult that they came to the same identical game without knowing.
it might as well be, I mean there is controller support but I got this and the Kinect side of it is seriously awesome. Honest to god, hand on heart, this is the first game that makes me REALLY happy that I bought the Kinect. It really is that good
I was led to believe this was a 360 exclusive with all the Kinect marketing it recieved. If I ever did get it though, I'd probably get the 360 version anyway.
@pseudogod82 Believe me it's worth every penny, it's breathtaking. If you experienced it then you should know. Brilliant game for the senses, especially with kinect. Nice review by the way. PS There's nothing wrong with the name of the reviewer. Grow up guys.
An hour of gameplay? Why buy it? Just rent it for a few dollars, beat it, and return it. Unlockables can't justify the full price.
This looks kinda fun but full price for it is a bit ridiculous, it should have been an Xbox Live game for like 15 maybe 20 bucks. With SOO many huge games coming out this year this just doesnt seem worth full price in the least :/ also dieing and starting over at the very start again doesnt sound very fun.
Yea that is nice and all, but 1 hour. My lunch break is an hour. Some TV shows I watch are an hour. Seems a bit shallow for just an hour and fronting a full game price tag. Maybe the extra modes can hold up the remaining 14 hours+ that you would want for $60.
@tezz_oj dont call me son, im older than you think. to the point, ok i admit ignorance at the fact kinect's sales are high, i SHOULD have done my homeword. my second post IS related to my first one, you just could read closer instead of building rage for a stinging reply. this is getting nowhere i want to be, lets call it a truce.
@Gelugon_baat Really!? I thought all three games were in the same genre, and that Guy Cocker was just Kevin V doing a British accent. Hmm.
@mega_loser Microsoft need higher kinect sales??? haha go back and do homework son and why change the subject your original comment implied GS give higher scores to games that are advertised on the front page...... also i hope my spelling is up to your high standards..
Different, but than again nothing is wrong with different. Maybe that is what we need in gaming, a different approach. I'd try it. Doesn't look like my cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind giving it a try just to see how it plays. At least this colorful game will look awesome on my 55in LED.:)
would be better if the music wasn't so generic and terrible would be GREAT if you could just use your own music like a better audiosurf and if you could take out the cheesy clips of the asian girl -- she's cute but come oooonnn and if it were ten bucks
This game makes me sick... So shake and shake... One hour playing such thing, I throw up on myself... lol
@tezz_oj hi there, its spelled stellar, you called me silly twice, that makes me a sad panda. anyway, come on, you know how the industry works, m$ need higher kinect sales, just take a glimpse at this year's m$ stageshow.
@Mega_loser Don't be silly there have been plenty of games with huge frontpage ads with less than steller reviews (Duke Nukem, Fallout NV to name a few) So take your silly conspiracy theory elsewhere mate
cocker gives COE an 8.5, and currently there is a huge ad of COE in the homepage. was it ubi that took advantage of cocker's pure favour, or is the story darker. just conceiving scenarios.
So it's like many of the shoot'em ups before it, it has control issues, and it's only an hour long excluding extras. And it get's an 8.5? Yeah we're not going to forget about Duke.
with 50$ bucks I can go to a open bar rave party in my city, take an acid and see all the game contents plus hotest girls for about 10 hours long
at first i thought its a downloadable game(or so) on PSN and XBL that worth roughly 10$ but seriously i doubtingly believe this is even a game it surely does not look like one im having a hard time getting this is actually A GAME THAT COASTS 50$ !!
@Jaffre I can imagine myself playing this with Halycon On and On as BGM....yeah definately. i F**KIN love that track....
All of you people saying the game is only an hour long seriously did not pay attention to the review. Go back. Rewatch it. LISTEN this time, and then come back and tell me what he said....I'll wait....
I can't believe Kevin VanOrd said to buy this over Duke Nukem Forever. DNF has problems but these are completely different types and styles of game. I could wager heavily that the majority of gamers who would be interested in a game like DNF would not find this interesting in the least.
@Sora16Kratos Yeah but if your using the Kinect, its going to seem alot longer than an hour. You'll probably need a break after 5 minutes anyways. If you've played Kinect Adventures you know that it only came with 5 modes, but each of those modes could be at least 2 hours of entertainment total. So this having a whole different experience for about an hour will still get you about 5 hours. And by the way if you look at the Gamespot market price, its only $42.
Don't buy it then! Rez is a game I come back to, this will be played way more than once as well. Deathsmiles is around one hour too, don't buy that either, because it's a great shmup. Nice to see a good review on this.
did you guys really deduct points for length? cuz with that miniscule playtime i seriously question whether or not it deserves 8.5
Hey now.... Still cheaper than an hour with a prostitute. I think the hooker would be more fun though. I appreciate games that are trying something a little off the beaten path but too often these "quirky" offerings fail to balance price/art/concept/replayability in a meaningful way. Really the original Katamari for $20 on ps2 is the only example that springs to my mind quickly.
