Kane once said: You can't kill the messiah, only EA can.

Of course that last part was cut. "EA did that"

Free, client based PC game.... the moment I see it, than I'm not into it, maybe rich bastards can play and high on this game. Already not having realistic tank is bad enough, and now they make it free(free? FUCK more likely  there is always a catch for free), I want a complete game and more hardcore than the original. If a game worth it then surely it'll payoff! We get sci-fi crap instead of at least realistic military vehicles...... piss ball on this

Why they never even bother asking out on potential customers? Are they high after Tiberium Alliances and decided to make the same mistake with updated graphics, what the fuck is wrong with them??????

great mmo and cartoony I'm trying to think how they could make it worse and all i keep coming up with is let Kalypso develop it .

The C&C developed during the last 3 or so years were horrible. Let's hope for the best...

Lame.. just do a remake of C&C Red Alert with modern graphics. Enough of the Client based "free" games.

I'm interested in how the free to play aspect will work...

The moment I saw soldiers standing in groups it seemed like this might have the squad control instead of individual soldiers. If that is the case, I'm already getting turned off byf by it because I remeber C&C Generals not having that. The only games with squad or unit control instead of individual combatant control I play id the Company of Heroes series, Dawn of War series and Total War series.

Good job EA, continuing r@ping the broken body of my once beloved C&C.

So.. Did they change Generals 2 into a client based F2P RTSMMO?! Then started calling it Command & Conquer!? What are they thinking?!

 @Elrax

 The multiplayer will be 100% free. Single player, maps, & factions will be add-ons.

If the add-ons are well priced & made, it'll be the same as the full game. They want to try to and get to a new audience, it MAY work.

@killa32130 @Elrax Late reply, since I didn't get any emails about the replies.

Anyway, why can't they just do what Blizzard did with Starcraft? Obviously this whole "MMO" thing is a move to mask the "Always Online" DRM that they likely wanted to implement but decided not to due to the likely fan reaction. However.. Its almost the same thing, in fact with MMO, now we can't even play offline vs AI anymore, which makes it worse.

Caompagin DLC is fine as long as its like an expansion, so its got decent length, maybe 10-20 missions and some new maps, then that would be fine, if priced for 10-20$, the former usual price of expansions.

(Now they often cost almost as much as the core game, expansions require to have)

DLC Prices can be shifted around depending on how much content said "Campaign DLC" would have.

 @Elrax That's the same feeling I get when I see this. I mean they butchered C&C4 so why not totally kill Generals 2? Why can't they not screw with what works!?
