C&C Red Alert was a great RTS experience for me.It's set in an alternate timeline where WW2 never happened(I will let you discover why for yourself)and the Soviet Union(lead by Stalin)became the major threat to the world and have a huge and very powerful army and want to conquer the world.

In this alternative timeline,the Soviets have the superior military technology because they have things such as Mig fighter jets(where as the allies don't have fighter jets)and the Soviets have nuclear weapons,Tesla towers which can destroy enemy tanks easily and will instantly kill infantry and more heavily armored tanks that have more fire power.

The Allies(who are basically the U.S,Britain,France,Germany and other countries)have the advantage of having more soldiers and can call for reinforcements more often.

If you liked the first C&C game,the style of gameplay in Red Alert is very similar.You'll build a base,need to build base defenses,and big groups of forces to overwhelm your enemies.Some missions don't involve base building and just like in the original C&C there's some missions where you'll need to capture a base first before you can start producing units.

The atmosphere is great and the music is very intense and sometimes it purposely has a very chilling feel to it or you'll hear Soviet army style theme.The environments often cosist of snow and there's some grassy plains and you'll see some CGI that is very disturbing such as soldiers freezing to death in the brutal Russian winters.

There's also FMV with real actors and it's well acted and you'll see Stalin and other intense story situations.

For more of an idea of what units the sides have,the Soviets have mammoth tanks,heavy tanks,mig jet fighters,WW2 style planes,nuclear weapons,tesla and flame thrower guard towers,Hind attack helicopters and they can use very fast planes as spy planes and they have bomber planes and planes that drop paratroopers.The Soviets also have the more advanced air defense with sam sites and the Soviets also have submarines which can remain hidden and destroy enemy ships quickly and they have guard dogs that can instantly kill enemy infantry and the Soviets can use nuclear weapons.

The Allies have smaller tanks,light military vehicles,helicopters and the Allies seem to use their large numbers to their advantage.The allies have WW2 style anti air guns and battleships that can attack both ground and sea units.The Allied battlecruiser ships can fire their weapons a very long distance and they do a lot of damage to any building they hit.

I think this is a great RTS game with a great story,great gameplay,great atmosphere.
