Condemned: Criminal Origins User Review
Scary at first, quickly becomes brainless and repetitive.

HORRIBLE. I found this game looking for "top 10 scariest games" and the like. I really wanted to be scared. Saw a vid on Youtube that appeared scary, and the forensic tools looked really interesting. I crave adventure games, and it's cool to mix FPS elements with that.
Sadly, this game is not it. Was is scary as heck starting out? Oh yes. Scary as heck. Amazing atmosphere and the enemies were something new to me.
SPOILERS.
They hide behind pillars, charge you, do crazy stuff. But that's the game. Right there. Fight bad guy after bad guy.
Storyline? Undeveloped and boring. Predictable.
Forensics? Non-existent. The game prompts you when to use your gadgets, you push a button, and it automatically pics what to use. Maybe zoom in/out, that's it. All scripted.
If this game was more brainy, had better investigative/adventure elements, better story and levels, this game would be epic.
As it stands, after an hour, you'll get it. And you'll get what you'll be doing for the rest of the freaking game... very little.

With its little quirks here and there Condemned is the scariest game I played since F.E.A.R. Call of Cthulhu.

White - hot terror tension, and brutal beatdowns, combined with an excellent storyline, carries this game.
