The latest CS:GO update from Valve introduces Monastery and Vertigo maps, along with team matchmaking and balancing.
The punishment to those who drop out sounds cool, but I can see myself having a lot of trouble because of that.
No, I don't drop out when I'm losing because I lose all the time anywas ( :P ), my problem is my internet connection whicj can be unstable sometimes. I lost the coun t on how many times my connection abandoned me in the middle of a BF3 or Crysis 2 match.
Luckily PC version has a bizillion MOD maps already. It needed it. Plus you can make your own maps to on PC.
@shadow580 That was my one of my favorites back on CS 1.6. along with Pool Day 2 which was much bigger. Ah, the good old days... I need to buy this game at some point.
Not really interested in this game yet. I'm still enjoying Counter-Strike: Source, and with it, a 120fps minimum, something I can't get with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
There's still bug fixes coming out for Source, I'll pick up Global Offensive in a sale much later. It's still not properly solid yet and still has bugs and glitches, and personally, I don't like the feel of the gameplay.... yet.
@naryanrobinson are you using a 120Hz monitor or do you want the high fps for the lowered input lag?
@shadow580 I used to play on a really nice 17" Dell CRT which I loved for Counter-Strike: Source no end, but I moved to China when I was 17, and I couldn't take it with me on the plane because it was over 10kg and fragile.
Now I use a 23" LG W6323D in 120Hz. In some ways it's better but at times I miss the old one. For Counter-Strike: Source, the response time on that CRT just couldn't be beaten, it was so incredibly quick, but for single player games, desktop browsing, internet browsing, video editing, the new one really is faultless, the colour reproduction is so much more vivid and accurate.
Also the desk in my new apartment isn't deep enough for a CRT, so I guess I can't complain.
@Essian just a waste..getting people excited, I spent time yesterday waiting for the update to go only to find that it was steam only..fukc sakes
*sob* I just want to be able to play! Its still not out in europe for ps3 players! WHATS THAT ABOUT!?!?
@beanofengland, im with you man, im PC only, but i cant STAND exclusives, i hate them. games us PC only users have missed out on. Red Dead redemption, Uncharted series, Forza 4, Mortal kombat, Halo 3 (probably Halo 4 to) ,. Thank god for console emulators but its still annoying as hell.
Exclusives suck. I have to go and buy a console just to play 4 games.
@beanofengland its some sort of licensing thing..if its not out soon I would just get a pay as you go canadian credit card online and make a western account to get it..thankfully the ps3 isn't region locked. we could use ppl with weird accents online..
@SirNormanislost wow that L4D thing sucked balls for xbox 360 people. Still, there is a chance that the patch needs to be verified for all regions by Sony and that is the cause of the slowdown.
@SirNormanislost I second that so much.
@beanofengland because ps3 sucks get a xbox or pc:)
