@hallbj29803: Do you know how big the battle get in these types of games? In the Europa series you could have armies of over 100k slugging it out! the same goes for most, if not all, of Paradox's strategy games. And what makes it a clone? it looks nothing like Europa except it has the map of Europe.

Paradox makes the best complex games.

Fell in love with Knights of Honor and that genre. Total War and Europa didn't do it for me. Hope this game turns out awesome

I don't want too many options. I want to concentrate on the important strategic scheme. Looked like too many knobs and whistles for me. Will check it out closer though.

oh paradox interactive, one of the few PC gaming companies not going mainstream

It is far from an EU3 clone. I played both Crusader Kings I and EU3 quite a bit and they both play very differently. Crusader Kings shares elements but the characters are such a huge factor that it changes the whole dynamics.

Looks like an EU3 clone. Good game, but I couldn't stand the abstracted battles. Why can't they make a game that combines the great diplomatic options of EU3 with the great battle gameplay of the Total War series?

I am looking forward to this one!
